Hi, i'm Oliver Gill, aka Talerric on Pokerstars and SwoopAE on Full Tilt. I'm a 31 year old poker player from Australia. I played tournament poker professionally from 2008-2015 and I spent the past year working with an online poker start up and sports betting group and playing poker part time.
I'm looking to sell 50% of an Aussie Millions package of six prelims with seven bullets total in the first week of the series which is by far the softest portion of the Aussie Millions series as most of the international regs only arrive when the main event starts in the second week so a larger percentage of the field is Australian recreational players. The remaining 50% will be held by me, with $4098 of my own money invested in this package for investor peace of mind that I will be focused and playing my A game. In the event any events are missed I will refund any unused events/bullets along with markup.
My Poker Resume/Results
I'm up 350-400k range lifetime across all sites including stuff like 888/UB/Ongame/Ipoker/Party/etc, the bulk of my volume is on Stars (Talerric) and FTP (SwoopAE). My Sharkscope and OPR are unblocked. You can see a screenshot of my Sharkscope that makes up the bulk of my online poker volume below.
Most but not all of my live cashes are listed on my Hendonmob linked below. It's missing a handful of random Australian minor series cashes worth maybe 20k total including winning a $110 local tournament for $8600 about a month ago but nothing particularly significant is missing.

Overall at Aussie Millions in prelim events I have 9 cashes for 7 final tables and 1 win in $1000-2500 buy-in events played over approximately 50-55 tournaments played in this buy-in range during the prelims of Aussie Millions. I consider Crown to be my 'home' live poker room and have played a few minor series at Crown over the years as well as WSOP APAC both times it ran and Aussie Millions for the past eight years. I know all of the local regs and fish very well and how to exploit the fish and the play styles of the regs and I think I have a bigger edge specifically at Crown compared to any other live poker room due to my experience playing there/live reads.
As an online tournament pro, I was coached and backed by Bigbluffzinc for several years and we ended the stake on good terms when I decided to stop playing poker full time around the end of 2015 and having made net profit for both parties. This year i've played something like 1000-1500 MTTs online in that time and roughly broken even, so while my volume has been insignificant compared to 2008-2015, I have been playing a bit just to keep my game sharp and have fun.
This year live, I have only played one major live series (Aussie Millions 2016; I played a few prelims and the main and finished 4th in the 8game for $15.8k) and one live local 'Club WPT' $110 event on the Gold Coast which I won outright for $8.6k. I've also been active on the Gold Coast home game cash game scene playing 1/2/5 NLHE and PLO about once a week and winning overall in those games.
The first event in the package is on 12 Jan 2017 and the package concludes by 20 Jan 2017. All shares will need to be paid for before the first event for you to have action. All shares and refunds will be paid out upon completion of the final event in the package. I may also play the Main Event which starts on 22 Jan 2017, I haven't decided yet, and in the event I do all investors in this package will have first rights to any main event action I decide to sell.
Please do not send me money at this stage, I am only accepting reserves for the time being due to exchange rate fluctuations for anyone paying via Stars. I will send a round of PMs out in late December or early January when I lock in an exchange rate and collect payment for AUD bank and Stars shares.
Cash in Melbourne, AUD Bank transfer and Stars transfers are preferred methods of payment. Please specify the percentage you'd like to reserve as well as your preferred payment method in your post.
The Package
Prelim events allow for a single re-entry. There is a chance we will still be in a previous event and have to skip one or two events on the package, if so I will roll over these $1150 bullets to potentially re-enter the remaining $1150 events in the package if I bust a prelim event during the first 3 levels of an event and the field is soft. I will confirm on twitter that investors have action in the second bullet. Any unused buy-ins will be refunded along with markup.
Jan 12 Event 2, $2500 HORSE @ 1.2
I finished 5th in the equivalent event in 2011 and have played the event about 5 times. The tournament will get about 50 players. I expect the field to be about 35% regs, 15% competent but not great recs, 50% fish based on previous years. I won't be the best player in the field, but I wouldn't be surprised if i'm in the top five depending on how many international players fly in early as there are only about 5 Australians who are actually good at mixed games and there is a substantial community of fishy mixed game players based out of Melbourne. Despite sounding tough on paper because '$2500 mixed games' this tournament is substantially softer than the $1500 equivalent events at the WSOP and having played both many times I would argue it is softer than a random $250 mixed game tournament at Planet Hollywood or the Venetian during the WSOP but with a legit deep structure. I can play all of the games competently and I am very confident in both this event and the 8 Game event if the field is anything like previous years.
Jan 13 Event 1 Flight C $1150 NLHE, $1 Million GTD @ 1.3
This typically gets about 1300 entries and uses a repechage format (reentry but once a stack is through you can't reenter again) so days 1c and 1d should be softer than 1a and 1b as a lot of the regs should have already gone through to day two, plus these two flights fall on a Saturday and a Sunday so more recreational players can play. This bullet will be skipped if I make the final table of the HORSE tournament and rolled over into either a potential re-entry in 1d if required or a re-entry if I bust early in one of the other $1150 events. If used as a re-entry, I will refund some of the markup depending on which event it is used for and how many levels have elapsed at the time I re-enter (I will not re-enter after 3 levels in any event)
Jan 14 Event 1 Flight D $1150 NLHE, $1 Million GTD @ 1.3

Jan 16 Event 4 $1150 PLO @ 1.25
Expected field size is about 250, I think the field will be something like 20% reg 30% competent rec 50% fish. I finished 4th in this event in 2010 losing a pot for 90% of the chips in play to Annette Obrestad who won the event and finished 8th in the equivalent event at WSOP APAC in 2014.
Jan 17 Event 5 $1100 6max NLHE @ 1.25
Expected field size is about 550, I think the field will be something like 25% reg 25% competent rec 50% fish. I finished 4th in this event in 2013, taking a chiplead into the final table and going 0/5 in all in pots on the final table. Slight chance this event may be skipped if we final table the PLO event.
Jan 18 $2500 8-Game @ 1.2
I finished 4th in this event in 2016 and won it outright in 2015. This event should get about 65 players and have a similar breakdown in reg/competent rec/fish as the HORSE event. I can play all eight games competently and about half of the field will not be able to. Like with the HORSE, it's very surprising how soft this event is compared to what it 'should' be in terms of field makeup if previous years are anything to judge by.
1x Extra $1150 Bullet @ 1.25 to be used to either play the NLHE Mix Max or Shootout or Accumulator Events (Events 3, 5 and 8 on Jan 15, 16 and 18 respectively).
I expect the Mix Max or Accumulator is more likely than the Shootout as the shootout field has been tough in previous years - i'll look around the room and field select before each of the three potential events and only play if it's a good spot. It will also depend whether i'm running deep in previous events as to which event/s i'm available to play. This bullet may also be used to re-enter an $1150 event if I bust in the first three levels and the field is particularly soft.
I have priced the markups individually based on my perceived edge in the field, overall this averages out to to 1.2374 markup for the package which is slightly lower than i've sold out at for similar packages in previous years, but as I no longer play full time I think that's fair. This makes the share price $133.02 AUD per 1% which is currently about $100 USD per share, although I will not be locking in USD to AUD rates until closer to the event so that may change slightly.

Taxes and Verification
There are no taxes on poker winnings in Australia so you will receive all cashes/refunds in full via your choice of payout method. If you choose any payment method other than PokerStars transfer or cash in Melbourne/AUD bank (moneybookers, bankwire, paypal etc.) that is fine but you will cover any fees for the transaction.
For verification that I have played or re-entered a particular event, any investor is welcome to ask me to upload a picture of my entry (or re-entry) receipt for a tournament and I will do so immediately.
