My name is David Hirst and I'm from Sydney, Australia. I'm sqwerty12 on Pokerstars and I'm selling up to 50% of my action with zero markup for the 2014 WSOP Main Event. I will be playing the event regardless of whether or not I'm backed. I've played the event once before (2010) and busted late on Day 2.

About me:

I'm an Architect by profession and have never played poker as a sole source of income. Up until 2012 I played high volume, low stakes MTT's and SnG's online. Graphs are below. I effectively stopped playing because it was occupying too much of my time and was affecting my relationship due to my heavy commitment to the game.

I have always played live tournaments with good results though most of these are untracked online. Of those tracked on Hendon Mob I play only the major Series at the Star Casino in Sydney which accounts for no more than 6 to 8 events per year. My results are below (though the 2 results in the UK aren't mine).



I believe I'm an excellent investment in this event particularly at zero markup. I have a sound understanding of all aspects of tournament poker both live and online and am highly confident with all stack sizes.

The reason I'm posting early is because I'd like to lock-in potential investors well in advance of my departure. I'll be travelling in the States prior to the event and have booked and paid for all flights and the majority of accommodation already. I will arrive in Las Vegas on July 6 and will play day 1C on July 7.

Payment

I will be pre-registering for the Event prior to leaving Australia on June 19 and can provide screenshots of any documentation required including flights, accommodation and tournament registration. At this stage I don't require payment though I request all transfers be made no less than a week prior to my departure on June 19.

My preferred method of payment is Paypal (davidghirst@gmail.com) or Pokerstars (sqwerty12 - Sydney, Australia). Unfortunately I can't accept cash in Vegas as I'll only be arriving the day before playing and would like to have everything in place at that late stage. I'm open to other methods of payment but as I'm inexperienced in the world of backing I may have to set up accounts to accommodate them.

Reliability/References:

I acknowledge that I don't have a history of backing or any references. Generally in the poker community I keep to myself. To that end I've made contact with some recognised and reliable 2+2 regs who are active in the Marketplace. If necessary I can arrange for an escrow to be set up to hold any investments however my preference is obviously to handle this myself. For what it's worth I am 100% reliable and will keep open lines of communication (including a Rail Thread) with all investors at all times.

I should emphasise that I am not reliant on backing to play the event and as mentioned previously I will be playing it (and registering well in advance) regardless.

Any winnings will be subject to all the usual taxes in the US and will be paid out at the very earliest possible opportunity.
