I won a seat to the English Poker Open on September 11-14 (buy-in is 3750 pounds, or around $5800 depending on the day's exchange rate). I can't make it myself and wanted to stake someone good so I didn't have to sell the seat at a big loss, so I'm staking Karl Fenton, who is discomonkey on twoplustwo. His online graph includes over 150k of profit:



His live stats can be viewed on his HendonMob profile, and net to about +40k live. He has plenty of experience live and played in last year's event, commenting that he very much liked the structure. He also was a sponsored player for PKR for a while.

I'm looking to sell somewhere between 50-70% and leave myself with 7-27%, something like that. He has 23% of himself. Although I think I could charge markup given that this player is def +EV, that'd be kind of nitty, so I'm selling without markup at the rate of 1% = $58. Would strongly prefer shares to be shipped on FTP to mersenneary (city P, smarmy douche avatar), but Stars is a possibility.

Edit: Oh, also: If for some reason, discomonkey does not play the event, you'll all be refunded your money by me, so no risk there. I'll be the one who has to hunt him down

I think I'm going to cap what I'm selling at 50% and then hold onto the rest unless people are willing to pay a 1.15 markup to buy some. It's still no markup for now, though, to be clear (and all posters who have posted so far have it reserved at 1:1). Would feel silly charging a markup when I don't even have to do any work, but have no problem just keeping 27% so I think it's OK to say that.
