Hi my name is Robert Cowen, I'm 31, from the UK and have been playing poker for 11 years now and has been my main source of income for the majority of the last ~9 years throughout University and since Graduation.
I have been focused pretty much solely on PLO variant mtts online for the last 3.5 years and have been smashing it despite bricking every High SCOOP/WCOOP for the last 4 series'. Until this series where I just final tabled the NLO/8 8max High; unfortunately busting 8th having gotten unlucky in a few big key pots. This series I’ve also made several day 2’s and had a 16th and 28th in M PLO and NLO/8 events (both busting with AAxx all in pre flop) so whilst I haven't played online much this year I’m still feeling sharp as ever.
The reason for not playing online much the past 12 months has been because the schedule changes made a year ago really had a negative impact on my earn potential so have been traveling to live stops for cash games and the better value tournaments where I have been relatively successful with a string of cashes and final tables but have not really been holding in the key spots necessary to win titles and trophies.
Since transitioning to PLO and PLO/8 I’ve become one of THE toughest regs to beat in PLO/8 and that’s what the majority of my schedule will be consisting of this summer.

In the past 12 months I’ve won two live tournaments out right (Investors got a decent return & sweat from a Venetian tournament last year) and made 8 final tables along with a deep run in the WSOP main event busting late on day 4. Which is pretty decent in terms of ITM %age because there aren’t a lot of PLO/8 tournaments that run outside of the series. Cashed in both the LAPT $1k o/8 events (4th and 5th) but one hasn’t come up on hedonmob.
My online cashes are approx 750k, and can provide evidence of this on request as deleted my pocketfives once I started traveling so people couldn’t look up my online screennames from my hendon mob. Played ~8000 nlh mtts. approx +100k off 270k cashes and the rest is omaha

The following are some key attributes that make me a solid investment;
I practice Yoga and Meditate or go to the gym before my sessions and take preparation very seriously. I eat right and will be doing a mix of meal prep from the house and All American Dave this series. I've been working harder than ever the past couple of years and the results are showing and I'll be taking this work ethic with me to Vegas with the intention of smashing some of these PLO/8 events.
Over the last 10 years I have spent 1000's of hours playing live cash. It has been my bread and butter playing it day in day out until switching to online plo, and have since gone back to Live cash amongst playing live tournaments. During that time I have spent a lot of time working on players mannerisms and tells and feel a lot more comfortable live than online. Primarily because it is very rare that you won't have as much time as necessary to make the best/correct decision which isn't the case online in mtt's.
I am a very confident person and generally make the table fun to be at. I’m comfortable speaking to people and getting them to speak to me and potentially give me that little bit of information that can make all the difference. Having being playing in casinos from the age of 19 before poker was really popular among younger people. I have been in so many awkward situations with poker both socially (from old guys hating on me) and in big pots, both in and out of position with very deep stacks still remaining that comes from playing such a wide range of starting hands 100's-1000's of bb deep. From this I have become a very proficient hand reader, I call with high cards I fold sets on dry boards, I re bluff bluffs. This experience can't be taught you have to have played. I believe one of my biggest edges live is putting that extra information that's unavailable online to good use and being able to make specific adjustments against each player. Combine this with the fact that I’m one of the strongest PLO/8 players in the world and it’s only a matter of time until I win events.
I am used to multiple long days and have been working very hard on mindfulness and my mental game to help me evaluate my play whilst in game to realize if I am making incorrect decisions and the reasons behind them. I'm getting very good at efficiently stopping dips in my game in an effort to revert back to my A game as quickly as possible.
I have worked VERY hard over the years to get to the point where I am today in my poker career. It's been a long arduous journey and it's made me a very good poker player.
I've been knocking on the doors for a good while now. Finally I have the determination and mindset and bankroll to starting kicking them down
