My name's Matt, I'm a coach with Tournament Poker Edge and co-host of the Midstakes Living podcast. I have over $1.6million in online MTT cashes, and over the past three years I've been mostly focused on coaching, with over 1,500 hours in the bank with over 70 low-stakes and mid-stakes students. Two of my students have made six-figure cashes in the last two years.
I'm from the UK, but currently in the process of making my US green card application in order to live here with my American wife. I'm still in Vegas after the WSOP, and I'm going to be here for the foreseeable future once my immigration application is processed. This should be a formality - I've hired a lawyer and my filing date is August 2nd.
Since I'm still here in Vegas and my immigration appointments got in the way of a lot of my plans during the WSOP, I'm planning to play a lot of lower-stakes events during the Venetian series happening in August and September. I'll be selling a lot of action since the immigration process has been expensive and I'm not excited about dealing with a bunch of variance right now, but it's a great time to play tournaments since all the other pros will be leaving Vegas this week or next.
This summer I played four events (having scheduled 10+ but missing many through illness and immigration commitments), bubbling the Aria WPT500 with KK<AQs, and bricking the PH Low Roller and WSOP Giant. The last event was my first-ever Main Event, and while I ended up busting on day 1 after getting coolered, I felt like I played my best-ever live poker during the event. Overall I'm extremely happy with my game and how it's progressing, and I have a high level of confidence heading into these upcoming series.
All events are scheduled for one bullet per day, but I may choose to use a second bullet on an earlier starting day if I bust early in a multi-day event. All single-day events are one bullet only. Here's the schedule of events I'll be playing:

It's a long schedule but since I'll be living in Vegas with my wife I'll have a lot of good opportunities for downtime after busting, hitting the gym, etc. I've allocated a few days off and I'll have some time to rest in between the two series. I'll be preparing with yoga, meditation and a good diet, and I'm excited for the opportunity to spend a month or more grinding a soft Vegas schedule. Events have pretty good structures and are likely to be extremely soft all around.
