Yeah I can't receive bank transfer either. I could have received in Vegas for 2 Upto 2 weeks after the event or stars.

Btw haven't heard back from the accountant Since I sent my tax form a while ago, but guess that could be a good thing and just means everything is ok.

Going through banks to deal with $800,000 of transactions is not unprofessional. I have received private messages from more than one American investor telling me they don't want bank xfers because they plan on not paying taxes. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to help anyone do that.

There are 16 investors in total (more than just the ones listed in this thread), so I'm trying to do things cleanly, simply, and legally.

As for PokerStars, assuming I keep a million $ in my PS account at all times is just a faulty assumption. The amount I cashed for is FAR more than what I have in my PS account.

Yeah, not trying to avoid paying taxes either other than the seemingly misinterpreted 28% withholding. And I def WANT a US bank xfer.

EDIT: I do want to add that with all this stuff (large sum of investor money, complications w/ taxes/accountants, bank transaction times, etc) it feels like the payout could've been handled with a greater sense of urgency. Since the end of the tourney where there was a somewhat reasonable ~2 week wait time, all these issues came up. And since then it feels like we've had to wait at least a couple days per issue to hear back to find out whether they would be resolved or not (I'm still not sure if you have my bank info to deposit). Now all these days add up to a total of almost a month (hopefully) since the tourney ended to officially receive our payout. I get that there's life and more poker and all that, but it wasn't the most "cleanly" or "simply" done process imho.

Highly doubt any investor said they didnt want bank transfer because they didnt plan on paying taxes... just like when I messaged you and you completely turned my words around and attacked my situation personally like you had any clue what you are talking about... people like fakelogic, pads, jasbral, and myself have been buying pieces for years upon years and we have never dealt with anyone so unprofessional with payouts. I always considered you a friend and hate this has gotten in the way but the way you have handled these payouts is an absolute tragedy and you should be very ashamed of yourself! Its honestly pathetic your lack of respect for peoples time and money... If there are 16 investors waiting on you then it shouldnt have took you a week to get to the bank, and then another week to get to the bank again and so forth. As you are a top professional in this game its embarassing how poorly you have handled this situation!

You are clearly an idiot!!! Nowhere in this post below does it say payouts will be on July 26th... This is the original post or in your words "from the get"... this was said well after the tournament was complete... as I said many of us have been buying action for years and I have had multiple pieces of 800k+ scores (over a handful, humble brag etc) and never did we have to wait 24 days to receive payment... Not to mention he lied to me and said that he only had option to get a check when multiple people have been able to split up their cashouts in multiple methods and to confirm I went to the cage and asked about his payout and they confirmed to me he could have split it up however he would have liked!!! So troll on loser! ALSO, one last thing we paid in stars or cash in vegas and should always have first option to be paid out in the method that we originally paid ourselves!!!

I'm on a decent heater this year with already 7 final 3 finishes in tournaments.

My resume / assessment of all the games:

I have somewhere between 50k-100k hands of $100/$200 8 game played on Stars, and I'm up big - up in every game individually except stud hi

NL - My best game and I spent dozens/hundreds of hours in the lab working on NL this Spring. Have 4 final 3 finishes this year in live tournaments already. Definitely at my peak in NL.

PLO - I play $25/$50 - $100/$200 live cash and have done very well at it. Winner pre rakeback at $2/$5 zoom online over decent sample, and have a win + 2nd place in live PLO tourneys.

TD - Empirically my most profitable game at 8 game cash. I have 2 2nd place TD finishes at WSoP.

H - The game I first played / built my initial bankroll on. My highest cash rate in tournaments. 3rd/9th place finishes in 5k/10k at WSoP, also a 2nd place in mixed holdem.

O8 - No big tourney results to share, but I've won at O8 cash live and online.

R - I won a WCOOP in Razz.

S - My worst game, but I still think I can break even in it in this field. No tourney results because I haven't played many Stud Hi only tournaments.

E - Just got 3rd in heartbreaking fashion in the 10k Stud 8 last week.

HORSE - I've cashed the last 3 WSoP HORSE tournaments that I've played including 2nd this year in the $1500.

Saying you had high rollers every other day and you couldn't get to a bank is not a good look. Paying out investors who were responsible for you even playing in the first place should be your first priority.

So wires can take up to a full business week (if not more), any chance you use WF or Chase for your banking? I have accounts at both and if you do a deposit as cash into my account at the teller, I believe it will show up faster.

Chris, the tournament finished on July 7th.

It took 10 business days aka 14 days for the check to clear. I am sending payments on July 26th. July 7+14=21.

That leaves 5 days of me "idling".

Two of those days were weekends. One of those days I went to the bank at 4:10pm. The bank closed at 6pm, but told me they couldn't help me because the Rio closed the appropriate department at 4pm.

Also in that time I played 2 25k tournaments at the Aria, a 25k and a 111k at the Rio, and the WSoP Main event.


I did not lie to you about the check. The cashier at the Rio told me I could take it all in check, but couldn't take only some of it via check. Furthermore, I explained why bank xfer between the two of us was especially important via private message.

My tax accountant advised me to have a paper trail for ALL these transactions that I could otherwise be liable for.

Think people are being a little bit harsh, I appreciate that obviously people aren't thrilled about having to wait so long and agree it would have been nice if it was disclaimed that payouts would need to be via banking etc for paper trail reasons (since I'd say it's reasonable to assume that if you pay CIV you can get CIV - Stars is different since Justin gets paid out in Vegas and you can't expect him to have infinite Stars $), but it is also a fair bit of work meeting multiple ppl and not ideal to hold large amounts of cash/chips in the progress.
