About Me
I've been playing poker since 2002 but it wasn't until 2006 when I started playing cash in local casinos and started taking the game more seriously playing 50+ hours per week. I played my first couple of tournaments in 2011 and took 13th in the WSOPc $560 SixMax and 8th in the $345 ReEntry. Needless to say I caught the tournament bug. I posted my first 2p2 package in 2012 which was the Chicago Poker Classic where I made 3 final tables and lost out on $50k bonus for "player of the series" by one point. I was selected to be a WPT Season 13 Ones to Watch because of success in smaller buy-in tournaments and then played my first WPT in September 2014 where I scored my biggest cash being a 3rd place finish in WPT Borgata for $308k which I paid 2p2 investors out 65% of that within a week. That thread can be found HERE. I followed that up with a WPT Five Diamond win (after 3-way chop played for remaining cash, title, trophy) for $42k in a $1,080 prelim event. I consider myself to be very good at navigating large fields and being able to charge gears playing every stack size well. I'm great at paying attention to players betting patterns and tendencies which makes my reads stronger and helps me narrow my opponents range allowing me to make that call, fold or well timed bluff. I feel I'm very capable of final tabling or even winning one of these large field events.

I haven't heard back from RiskTaker in the past 3 weeks and he hasn't even logged in since reserving 10% so I'm opening it back up.

I received a PM on Monday about you not having the funds to hand to enter the ME. I replied over PM to it but have yet to receive a response. While I'm sorry to hear that you have been unable to get the funds to hand to register for the ME, I hope that something can be done RE the MU you charged, as 1.29 is pretty steep with the ME removed.

As I explained, I was short on the 10k main event buyin and was not able to receive a wire to the Rio cage from my fiancé which put me in a bad spot because I was totally counting on a wire if I got short. I asked a few guys to trade a Chase transfer from her for cash at Rio but no luck.

I made an overall MU of 1.29 for this package and only included the best value events like the $565 Colossus and $1500 MonsterStack which paid 1M to first and the $1500 Millionaire Maker which paid 1M to first and second. If I packaged these events without the main event I think 1.29 would be a fair MU for these events.

I'll be leaving Vegas after this weekend and will figure out the math and get all refunds loaded and shipped soon after. Thanks for the investments!

I'm going to agree with this in that I most likely would have passed on this package had the ME not been included. Regardless I suppose it is what it is...

The Main Event is almost half this package and I'm sure a lot of people bought because of the Main Event. Not having enough cash on hand to play the main is a mistake that a professional should never make. I'm surprised that you couldn't get a loan, sell a little more action, make a trade or simply go to a bank to get enough for the buyin. You held their money for 2 months and then didn't play the best value mtt in the package, a mtt that made up like 40% of the package. If I was an investor I would be pissed about this situation and I would expect you to lower the MU to 1.2 at the very least.

hey i know jose's rep means a lot to him and he's not interested in scumming anybody, i'm sure he would want to make this right. i agree this is pretty uncool and as an investor i think a reasonably fair solution would be to refund the main at something like 1.35 or 1.4.

i know that personally as an investor i thought "meh the MU is kind of high for the prelims but with the main in there it's good value overall" which really suggests a blended MU and it's only fair that if the event that brings most of the value to the package is not played that it's refunded with a MU that reflects what it brought to the (blended) package
