Hey guys, I'm looking to sell 2 separate packages for the WSOP this year.
First, a link to previous packages I've sold on here:
SCOOP package last year where I won player of the year (I think this shows I'm pretty good at mixed game tournaments, which consist of a big portion of these packages):

50k Players Championship last year, which documents my thoughts on each game being played at the WSOP:

WSOP mega package last year which sold easily in less than a day at 1.3 markup:

WCOOP package last year which sold easily at 1.4 markup

NAPT Mohegan Sun bounty shootout which sold out in about 2 hours:

My hendonmob page (I don't play too many live tourneys outside of the WSOP)

My sharkscope graph (this is mostly from sngs but still should show that I'm pretty good at poker):
Package 1 (WSOP Insanity Package):
Includes the main event and every preliminary event with a buyin of 10k or lower (which is every event except the 25k HU and the 50k Player's Championship). It will be similar to this thread last year:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/18...shares-787841/
Basically my plan is to play every event that I can. If I bust from one event I'll sign up for the next one. I may skip an event here and there but for example, I've played at least 30 events each of the last 4 years. My results haven't been very stellar in the WSOP as of yet, but obviously a small sample size of live tournaments isn't all that significant. I would like to think that my SCOOP results from last year show that I have the ability to do well in many varieties of higher stakes tourneys.
Markup will be 1.3 just like last year.
Doing my quick math, I get the total buyins of events in this package adding up to $196k. Obviously there's no chance I'll play every event, so what I'm going to do is make the total package worth $153,846. When multiplied by the 1.3 markup, it makes the numbers work out evenly. If my net losses somehow add up to more than $153k, I will cover the rest of the losses myself. You cannot lose more than your original investment. Even if I run really bad it's pretty unlikely that my buyins will add up to more than $153k anyway, so you most likely will get some money back at the end.
I'm going to sell in shares of 1/4%, and each 1/4% will sell for $500.
I'm going to limit people to 5% on this package this year (instead of 2% like last year), just because it will be a bit harder to collect without being able to use online sites. I would come up with a creative acronym for this like cts rule from last year, but I couldn't think of anything good that worked with MaxKatz's name (it's a lot harder when he has like 30 scrabble points in his name).
So 1/4% for $500, 1/2% for $1k, 1% for 2k, 2% for 4k, 5% for 10k.
I will probably sell about 30% of this package, and definitely not more than 40%.
I will play this package no matter how much I sell.
Package 2 (High Roller Package):
Event 2, 25k HU
Event 55, 50k Player's Championship
$800 per 1% (markup approx 1.06)
Minimum purchase of 1/2%, so 1/2% for $400, 1% for $800, 2% for $1600, 5% for $4000, 10% for $8000
I'm possibly willing to negotiate a bit on the markup on this package if anyone wants to buy more than 10% and pay in cash at wsop.
I want to sell about 70% of this one or maybe a little more (definitely not more than 80%), but I will definitely play it if I sell at least 50% and maybe even if I sell a little less than that.
I wasn't going to play the HU event at all until I saw the structure where you only start with 1/3 of your stack and get 2 addon chips. This makes it really shallow after the first couple levels of each match. After an hour most matches should be like 20-30 bb deep, and I feel very comfortable playing heads up with this size stack and I don't feel like anyone in the world can have much edge over me. Just to clarify, it's not that I don't feel comfortable deeper than that but I think my edge is bigger around that stack size just because I have a lot of experience at it from playing heads up at the end of steps tourneys and sngs over the years, and I think a lot of people are very exploitable in heads up matches as stacks get shorter. Also a few of my poker friends were heads up specialists in either sngs or cash and have often asked me for advice on heads up hands, and I've received the feedback multiple times that I'm really good at thinking outside the box on figuring out creative ways to exploit people.
As for the 50k Player's Championship, I feel like I have a decent edge in a lot of the games, coming from a background of playing high stakes mixed games for years at limits of up to 400-800 and winning consistently. For more details on my thoughts on where I stand in each game, you can read the first post in this thread, which I linked earlier:

I think both of these packages are an excellent value for you guys and would have sold out quickly if I posted them 4 weeks ago, but I haven't been following the marketplace all that closely the last few weeks and I have no idea how many buyers there are anymore. I guess we will find out.
Payment options:
Obviously this may be more difficult than in previous years because I will not be able to accept online transfers.
One option is to mail a check/cashier's check/money order to my house but it must be received by May 28th because I will be leaving for Vegas early on the 29th.
Another option is cash or Rio chips in Vegas. I will be arriving late on the 29th and will be free all day on the 30th and early in the day on the 31st to collect $.
Another option is depositing into my bank account. I'm not sure how this works but maybe someone can help with this. My account is with Bank of America if that helps.
Please tell me which package you are reserving for, and what your method of payment will be when you reserve a share, thanks.
As for taxes, I'll only worry about that if I come out way ahead on the package. If I lose, break even, or just win a little, then I'll just ship everyone their share immediately. If i win a lot, I'll consult my CPA to figure out how to transfer the tax liability, but you will still all get your full share of the winnings.
You can follow me on twitter at
http://twitter.com/GeorgeLindIII. I plan on updating on every break if I have time. Last year I don't think I ever went on a break without updating except a few times when my phone was dead, and even then I paid like $5 a few times to use the public computers just so I could post Twitter updates, so I'm very good about keeping people updated.
Thanks everyone and good luck to us.
