Hey everyone. I'm just a longtime lurker here on the twoplustwo poker forums.
I'm a humble borgata grinder, mostly grind the 1-2nl, but if I'm feeling good and on an upswing and the game looks juicy I'll take a shot at the 2-5nl. But I still play the occasional MTT and like to read the forums to help improve my game to one day be a superstar and maybe sell some pieces in marketplace.
The Bear Jew/Joe Tehan thread in High Stakes MTT brought me here.
I also saw this video

I think its highly unethical for Joe Tehan to be giving away such free information in such a high buyin event in which other people are investing and paying a markup.
Does anyone know if Joe paid any investors their pieces of the 80$? For all we know Joe may be making lots of money, selling 100% of himself, and not caring about the tournament...just trying to make a decent hourly off of showing people his hands. He certainly looked like he was trying to lose the epic poker tournament with the 42o on the bubble and the K6s / A7o play. Maybe he was just bored and was getting indifferent to the tournament because he sold 100% just to pocket the markup and the extra money from showing hands.
Anyways, I think its blatantly obvious that Joe stole the 80$ from his investors ITT as they are obviously entitled to that part of the cash if he is sacrificing the EV of giving away free information. Even if Joe appears too stupid to understand that giving away free information is bad, he should still understand that he owes the investors that money. I'm just a humble 1-2 grinder and I know I NEVER show my cards unless its for a specific reason to make my opponents think I'm playing too loose, too tight, or to tilt an easily tilted player. To show every hand and collect a fund and to be so happy with the money he's making on the side should definitely be against market place rules.
I have alerted the mods of the stealing and would like investors to post ITT if they have been paid. I also think that Joe practices in the shady practice of using his friends to drive up the percieved image of his shares, and sells a lot of shares privately. If you look at this thread and the threads in HSMTT, the first investor and major Joe Tehan defender is the account 'lvkajunakid' who obviously one would believe is personally connected to Joe Tehan. It seems like not many people bit, but I believe he might sell privately and definitely not sharing the money/info there.
It is all very questionable IMO. Just like in the TMAY fiasco, everyone should include all investors somewhere ITT. Did he send up selling 60%? How is he chopping up the 80$? I'm just glad I didn't bite at this investment. It isn't a surprise to me he bubbled this event even with it paying 100 players!
