Hey,

My name is Tyler Short and I am a 27 year old professional poker player. If I can get my passport figured out in time I'm likely going to make the trip to Dublin for the EPT main there in February.

Background Info

I have been playing poker for the past decade and it has been my main income source since around 2009. I have a lot of experience playing live poker with most of that being 2/5-5/10 nlhe.

Prior to black friday I grinded 90% heads up nlhe cash usually at stakes ranging from 1/2 to 5/10. After black friday I decided I didn't really want to leave the country, so for the past 3 years or so I was staked by Imawhale (The biggest backing operation in the US) on US sites and currently play up to 5/10 nlhe hu and 6max. Over that time I had control of 5 figures at all times with no issues. I have a very high respect for backers and their investment and you can always know that your money will be safe.

Results

I've never been out of the US for a tourney. Does anyone have any experience with how a cash in dublin works as opposed to a cash on US soil? I'll ask an accountant but i'd imagine it's fine. Thanks

Yeah boa/PayPal/venmo are best for me anyways so thats fine.

If anyone needs to send me stars I may have a friend who can take it but I'll have to check. Can also take euros at the event if you have a good rep and I can trust you'll def get it to me in time.

Yeah I would also like to send Stars, or would give cash at the venue, but I'm still not sure if I'm going yet.

Cash at the venue is fine, if needing to send stars i think I'll be able to have a friend receive for me (will find out for sure later tonight), you'll just have to pay whatever the fee is to withdraw it. Same with BCP, I can accept it but it costs a little to get it off.

61% reserved so far, 19% remaining, thanks!

What fee is there to withdraw from Stars?
I would send Paypal but the conversion fee from £ to $/Euros is expensive there

I haven't been on stars since black friday so i'll check with my friend who would be receiving. I could be wrong and maybe there is no charge to withdraw? I thought i remembered reading something in a thread about them implementing some sort of fee but maybe I'm confusing it with currency exchange or something.

If you convert it in the client first then you dont need to pay their conversion fee to withdraw.

Gl with booking a hotel now. Everything there is **** off expensive, and/or not near to it. I'm prob not going now because of that. And I've searched a lot.
Lmk if you somehow manage to find something that's cheap/good.
