My name is Cliff Jacobs and I specialise in live cash games and live MTTs, mostly in PLO and in Dealers Choice and Mixed Games. http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=175387

I have been backed for live comps before but never via 2plus2 so please forgive the long post as I need to cover a lot with it being my first entry into the selling live shares market on 2plus2.

I am looking to sell up to 55% at 1.14 of me for the following package of live MTTs which start on 10th January and end on February 5th. The big buy ins are in France with some smaller ones in London to flatten a little of the variance and to keep my game sharp. 17% has already been reserved via my Gutshot Forum backing thread so I have 38% remaining. http://www.gutshot.com/forum/showthr...on-my-PLO-trek

Investment is only available to UK bank account holders or to people who reside in London. (I will cover why later on in the post).

I have a lifetime ROI of 45% in live PLO MTTs. My full lifetime live MTT results and stats are here. http://www.gutshot.com/forum/showthr...-Backers/page8

Unusually in the world of poker, I list every result (not just when I cash) and I also give a fair appraisal (an out of 10 marking system) of how well, or not so well, I have played in each comp. I have also posted various tournament and cash game reports on the Gutshot Forum which I will provide links to later on in this post.

My Hendon Mob Database stats: http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=175387

Details of my live cash game record and of on line results are later on this post along with references and other relevant information.

The maximum total buy in cost of the package in Sterling is £336 + (€3565/1.194) = £3322.
I've fixed the Euro to Sterling equity purchase rate at the 14th December's rate of 1.194 at 10 p.m. (using www.xe.com)

(I will refund any buy ins not made.)

After applying the 1.14 premium the cost of investment is:

1% for £38
2% for £75
3% for £113
4% for £150
5% for £188
6% for £226
10% for £375
15% for £560
etc

Payments to be received please by January 10th either by U.K. bank transfer or by cash in London. My bank details on request by pm.

The Events in the Package are:

38% Remaining

Payments back to investors.

All payments back to backers will be in the form I receive them in. i.e. If I get paid in cash Euros I will pay backers in this way or if I get paid in Euros to my bank account or by cheque I will pay backers their share after foreign exchange fees (by cash or by bank transfer in £), and provide evidence of the foreign exchange transactions.

If you are not based in or near London and I am paid prize money in cash Euros then I can on request convert it into Sterling (at the best rate that I can achieve) and pay you Sterling by bank transfer. It's possible that I may keep any cash Euros anyway for future comps so you might get the spot sterling rate from me if this happens.

I plan to make all payments due back to backers at the end of the package but I am more than happy to make interim payments to backers on request at any point during the schedule.

Where a deduction from the prize pool for dealers and floor staff has not already been made I will follow local tipping conventions and we will share the cost burden of this proportionally between us, but I will tip frugally or perhaps not at all.

* Anything outside of the regular prize pool, e.g. freerolls or bonuses awarded to me for winning a comp etc are kept by me.

I am in the fortunate position that I already have cash Euros in my possession for the buy ins saving me some exchange rate costs going in.

I speak and understand enough French to get by and there is a possibility that one or two native French speaking poker players who are based in London may come on one or both of the trips.

I have an excellent track record of keeping backers up to date with all developments and of making payments to backers efficiently and honestly. (See references lower down in the post.)

I will be providing periodic in play updates to backers by text and will post tournament reports after events or series of events.

I feel that my PLO game is going from strength to strength in both live MTTs and in cash and have the strong belief that I am one of the favourites every time I sit down in a PLO comp. My PLO8 and H.O.R.S.E. games are also strong and my shallow stack / turbo game in NLHE MTTs is sharp.

Live cash game record

My live cash game record is excellent and I am a consistent winning player in live cash. Even over small samples of 5 or 6 sessions of either live PLO cash or live Dealer's Choice cash it is extremely difficult for anyone to net win money from me. The £1/£2 Dealer's Choice that I play can be quite a big game because it has an uncapped buy in and is often straddled to £5. My typical buy in is £300 but I have also sat with a stack of £1K to £4K on many occasions.

I have only been playing poker seriously since February 2010 when I started grinding £1/£2 live NLHE at The Empire Casino in London. Over the course of 250 hours of play I averaged £17 per hour profit. I then noticed a strange £1/£2 four card game being played on another table there so decided to buy in for £100 and to work out what it was all about and to see if I liked it. (I had briefly played some Limit Omaha Hi Lo at small stakes on line about 10 years ago so had some idea but I was still very fearful of PLO and if I could handle it.)

To my pleasant surprise I found that I picked up the game very quickly, had a much better feel for it than NLHE and that my edge was far bigger.

Since that point in March 2010, I have switched most of my live cash play to PLO and to Dealer's Choice which includes PLO, Courschevel (PLO), Triple Flop PLO and PLO8, and where the Omaha based games can be played with 4, 5 or 6 cards.

I went through a spell of playing PLO cash on line. At first I game and opponent selected carefully and had a steady upward graph at 6 Max $0.50/$1 but eventually I made all of the classic on line cash game errors of jumping around the limits, playing when too tired, playing too many tables at once, tilting, and of course running bad in big pots! I dare say there is also an element of collusion on line which was -EV for me, and I was lazy in not using analysis software on opponents when clearly many of my opponents were using it on me.

Anyway, I'm happy to admit that I have an on line losing PLO cash game record but I have stopped playing on line cash now and the upside is that I did play tens of thousands of hands on line which helped me improve my understanding of PLO and taught me what to do in all and every kind of PLO hand situation.

I haven't played many MTTs on line. But when I have, and particularly when I have played bigger buy in (Scoop PLO or NLHE, Wcoop PLO or NLHE or Sunday Million NLHE) and single tabled them I have had some very deep runs, top 30s and top 150s in 2500 to 7000 runner fields.

I am far better in all poker when I focus on only one table and I am better still when it is live because I am good at picking up physical tells, giving off my own false tells, profiling players and learning and remembering about how specific players play certain hands or approach tournament strategy.

Most of my on line play has been on Pokerstars. I am not revealing my sn because I will be playing PLO, 8 game and NLHE Scoops and Wcoops so want to remain anonymous. Other than those comps I will only be playing on line to sat into live comps and taking the occasional shot at something like the 10 year anniversary $10M Gtd. I occasionally multi table some PLO, PLO8 and H.O.R.S.E. MTTs on Stars at the $10 to $55 level and always do well in them. (Finished 3rd in one recently, had the chip lead from four tables right through until 3 handed on the FT and then my two opponents both had to get lucky to win chips from me.) However, my live edge is far greater than my on line one in PLO MTTs.

I have gone through phases of keeping/not keeping live cash game records but after a 2 month break in May and June which I took to look after other business interests I decided to keep live cash game records again.

These are those stats which start on July 4th 2011 and go up until a 13 hour Dealer's Choice cash game session which I played on December 13th at The International Club in London.

My live Cash Game Results Logged Since July 4th 2011 (all sessions bar one played in London):

Game/Winning Sessions/Losing Sessions/Break Even Sessions.

£1/£1 PLO: Won 1, Lost 0, Break Even 1.
£1/£2 PLO: Won 10, Lost 1, Break Even 1.

£2/£5 Dealers Choice: Won 2, Lost 0, Break Even 0.

Dealers Choice* Total: Won 36, Lost 11, Break Even 4.

£1/£1 NLHE/PLO R.O.E. Won 0, Lost 2, Break Even 1.

References

I realise that having a good reputation when seeking backing is essential and when I have backed players myself, which I have done many times, I always look for references and ask plenty of questions.

I have an excellent reputation of financial and general integrity on the Gutshot Forum and in The International Private Members Club in London. I have been backed a few times before as well as backed many players myself and have always acted with absolute fairness and honesty.

I have approached a few players who know me irl, know my game, my character, and have played against me (and hopefully who some of you may be familiar with) and they have said they would give me a reference on this forum. I will send them the link to this thread so hopefully they will post.

The references are from:
TheSquid
joejoe1337

I have also been sent the following reference on Gutshot by JJ Hazan who doesn't post on 2plus2, so you'll just have to take my word for it on this one.

He said:
“I have done business with Cliff for over two years now and have been backed by him, have backed him and have swapped percentages in EPT/GUKPT PLO and HiLo tourneys. Cliff is totally ethical and has always honoured all financial transactions between us. I highly recommend him as a player to back. Solid Omaha game and very dependable. JJ Hazan” http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=75939

I've also played with, backed and been backed by many other players over the last two years and have never had a single word of bad feedback about how I have conducted myself when backing, being backed or swapping equity.

I have approaching 5000 posts on the Gutshot Forum, won the Forum Poster of The Year Trophy last year and have been nominated again this year. I was also nominated for best overall player of the year at The International Club last year.

Here are some links to my previous backing threads on the Gutshot Forum and some links to some tournament reports and cash game reports that I have posted. I have included some where I have played badly as well as ones where I have played well. Also some strategy posts and some trip reports and some other stuff.

My general background

I am in my forties, but young for my age. I have 25 years experience in trading in financial derivatives and as a professional sports bettor/trader. I have been playing poker seriously for just under 2 years.

And finally.........

The bottom line is that I feel that I am +EV in the comps in this package and am one of the favourites to take it down in any live PLO comp. I am getting better and better every time I sit down to play an MTT or a cash game and already have some good experience playing against some of the world's best in EPT and GUKPT live PLO and PLO8 MTTs. I regularly play against some top quality players in cash games in London.

I am always looking to learn and to improve my game and constantly seeking extra little edges that I feel that others may not have noticed nor have thought of.

Thank you for taking the time to read and for your support should you choose to invest.

P.S. The final table of one of the big buy in events falls on my birthday. Hope this is a good sign!

Any questions or queries at all please feel free to ask me.

(My next backing request on 2plus2 will be a lot shorter and will just have a link to this one as a background reference.)

Sorry, forgot to mention that I am playing all of these comps even if I don't get the full 55% of backing.

Have played with Cliff a lot in cash games in London over the past 2 years. I can confirm that he is an honest, trustworthy and ethical guy. I have bought pieces in a previous package from Cliff and he always keeps investors updated. Made a nice return for investors and paid out promptly. Have also had other financial transactions with Cliff and all have gone smoothly and without any problems.

Interesting read, would really like to play these events too but the expenses would be too high I guess.

Yes the costs are reasonably high but I feel that I am +EV enough to cover my costs. Another factor is that I think it is necessary for me to travel around and play different opponents in different locations to develop my game and to move towards bigger and bigger results and cashes.

For example I played the GUKPT PLO at Coventry, which involved some travel expenses, and on the final table I played Paul Jackson http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=26176 who I was familiar with from seeing on television but whom I had no idea about his playing style in a PLO comp.

I was very short stacked and card dead on the FT so could only ladder my way into the lower money places but I did get a chance to observe how he plays PLO (he went on to win the comp).

This proved to be invaluable experience because I was on the FT again with him at the GUKPT London PLO and was able I believe to play perfectly against him and had some very good reads about his hand strength and about what his likely pre flop and post flop action would be. (I chopped 1st place prize money in that comp.)

He was also on the FT again with me in the GUKPT London PLO8 so again I had a good idea about how he was playing. I bubbled that comp which was extremely frustrating because I played very well in it and was quite dominant before picking up big hands but running into AAxx in two consecutive hands on the FT. The first time I had a big enough stack to raise fold, the second time I didn't.

Similarly, I played an EPT PLO at San Remo where although I didn't cash I did gain some more experience of playing against Dario Alioto http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=50080 who I am sure I will face many times more in the future, and I played against a few old school, old men French players who have a weird playing style. I played very well in that comp but ran bad in one crucial big pot.

Seeing how the old school French players played PLO in San Remo will be very useful for me when I face many of them in this French PLO package of events.

I've known Cliff for a while now and I'm giving him a reference for a number of reasons.

1) I've never known anyone who puts this level of effort and preparation into his poker playing. With him you're not just buying a piece of a player but a part of a well oiled business

2) He has improved a lot as a player over the last year or so, mostly because of the level of analysis he puts in to everything he does. I'm of the opinion that he is +ev in these fields.

3) He, in my opinion is extremely trustworthy and not a flight risk in any way.

Thanks Mat and Joe for those references, much appreciated.

All I need now is a few more backers preferably, although I am playing even if I sell just a few percent in total because I can afford it from my life roll and because it's a spread out package which I can finance over the next few weeks with live cash games and sports betting. Obviously restricting the market to U.K. investors is handicapping myself.

I had a pm on here today from a player in Russia keen to invest using bank wire as the payment method to and from. This method attracts a £25 BIC/SWIFT charge so is possibly prohibitive unless the % of equity bought is quite big. I would take investments from non U.K. investors by bank wire but the bank charges are an issue and I wouldn't want to eat all or most of them myself because I think the 1.14 mark up I am charging is reasonable.

A factor for potential investors might also be the leverage (or relative lack of) on their investment. It is true that the events I am entering will not have the kind of jackpot 1st prizes that you get at a WSOP, but France is more popular for PLO comps than anywhere else in Europe and last year (Jan 2011) the EPT Deauville €1K PLO had a field of 119 and a €39K ($53K) 1st prize, compared to most of the other EPT PLO venues where fields were about half of this size or less. http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=50991

I am not sure what field size to expect at the EFOP PLO in Paris but given that it is in the French capital and in an iconic venue it could be of quite a decent size.

I agree with Joe that I have improved a lot in the last year. I played 3 PLOs and one PLO8 at EPT London last year, cashed in two (3rd and 4th) and was chip leader for the first few levels in the £1K before going card dead for hours but still made day two and eventually came 12th. The £1K PLO8 I didn't play very well in. These results which surely made me the most consistent Omaha performer at EPT London 2010 were achieved by playing an ultra defensive TAG style of play and making close to zero mistakes.

Since that time I have added a lot to my game so whilst TAG is still a sensible core approach to a live PLO MTT I am now capable of changing my game at any moment to adapt to different situations or players and to throw opponents off balance. This means that I am more likely to bust earlier in a comp but I am also more likely to win a comp which is clearly better because it is the way to achieve a bigger ROI in the long run.

Probably would see some action if it wasn't UK Only. You don't have any payment options for potential investors to get money to you? Just my 2 cents.

Okay, I have just opened a Skrill account so can now accept/make payments to and from it and can accept investors reserving equity with Skrill as the payment method.

Please don't make any payments to me by Skrill until I give the go ahead because it takes a few days for Skrill to increase my deposit/receipt/withdrawal limits.

I am also going to look into Skrill's fx charges so that investors who reserve and intend to make payment in a non Sterling currency are aware of these before deciding whether to take up the option of their reserve.

Sorry, but I'm not revealing my Stars sn to anybody and never have done, not even to my closest poker confidants.

My on line record is kinda irrelavant for the reasons already stated. A lot of great tournament players have a huge cash game leak. I am different to this in so far as I make money playing live cash as well as being good at live tournaments.

I have recognised what I was doing wrong at on line cash PLO so stopped playing it. If I wanted to I could go back to bumhunting Belgians, Spaniards, Indians, South Americans and people who are drunk at $0.50/$1 PLO playing between midnight and 9 a.m. (my local time) and over a period of time grind back my on line PLO cash game losses but there is no point when I am making good money at a much faster rate in live cash games. Apologies to those nations but I will play any of those nationalities all day long in a PLO cash game although obviously there are some exceptions and on top of this some North American pros and grinders are now based in Central and South America.

I also do sports betting and sometimes in large amounts of money so grinding $0.50/$1 PLO for months and being a slave to my computer screen does not appeal to me.

I am pretty good at on line MTTs if I focus on a single or a small number of tables and if the buy in amount is significant enough for me. The last on line NLHE comp I played with a reasonable sized buy in was the I Pops $125 main event on I Poker and I blogged a fair bit of it on the Gutshot Forum during play.

I think I finished 125th out of nearly 4000.

http://www.gutshot.com/forum/showthr...OPS-Main-Event!

I didn't play perfect in that one and my exit hand I think was very questionable play in many players' eyes but I did finish 125th out of a few thousand and NLHE is not my strength.

I played a big chunk of SCOOPs this year and built up massive stacks in a few only to run bad when deep or semi deep in both 6 Max NLHE and PLO. I also went a few rounds in the SCOOP HU PLO but then faced a top player where we were both playing small ball poker. We were so evenly matched that we ended up being the penultimate table of the round so of course had all the railers abusing us and telling us to get on with it. Blinds inevitably got huge and the chips all went in and I busted. But before that match I won the first 3 or 4 HU matches very easily.

If I wanted to I am sure I could grind on line PLO comps all day long and maybe make $100 to $250 from them but this would only just about cover my living expenses, so again what is the point.

I have no evidence of the live cash game stats I have posted on this thread other than that nobody who has played me irl cash games is going to come on here and say (unless they are joking) that I am easy to win from in live cash games because I am not and usually the only time I lose big pots live is when I deliberately play a high variance game against value players. Or sometimes I lose a big pot against one of the very small number of regulars (which is 2 or 3 out of a pool of maybe 60 players) that are as good as me or better. And losing a big pot to one of the top regulars is still rare because we tend to stay out of each other's way in a cash game.

So my goals are to carry on playing live cash games, carry on with my other business activities, and to play some big buy in PLO comps where I know for a fact I have a good chance.

As people ITT have already observed I am very analytical, which in a largely maths based game like PLO is an advantage. I also research my opponents by Hendon Mob Databasing players before and during tournaments and I am always looking for profiling clues of players such as how expensive their watch is, who they are talking to during breaks (are their poker friends punters or pros?) and small things like what kind of mood are they in, relaxed or gambly. At EPT San Remo I was looking over and reading opponents' id that they were giving the dealer when they first sat down to find out their names and nationalities. Most of my opponents on my table were unknowns to me but by doing this I had some instant profiling info on them. e.g. One of them had a Swedish passport, a big clue that he would play quite loose and have a wide opening range, something which proved to be correct.

If you have the time to read through some of my very long tournament reports you will see that I am doing this profiling in live tournaments all of the time. It doesn't mean I will win or do well in a tournament but it is adding to any edge that I may already have.

I played all of the EPT London PLOs and the 5 card PLO8 and had 85% of myself. This included the £2K event so I am not desperate for backing to fund the buy ins but it does make common sense to get some degree of backing to flatten out some of the variance for me, to pay towards some of the incidental costs, and to therefore potentially allow me to play a bigger sample of live comps in which at some point I hope to land a big title with a big 1st prize.

So that's it.

Why do the english tournaments have two rake amounts?

I am interested I don't play PLO I'd prefer payment via stars (I've read your posts). If its not going to happen uk bank transfer alternatively.

Res 2% for time being.

The extra pieces of juice at The International and at Fox (both in London) are for bonus chips. It is a way of the house charging more juice, or in the case of The International more voluntary contributions because it operates under a Private Members Club licence. About 95% of players purchase the bonus chips. (The ROI stats I have in my full list of live comps played do include the cost of juice including bonus chips charges)

E.g. In the £50 PLO Double Chance comps at The International it is 4000 + 4000 chips and you have the option to get an extra 2000 chips with your second 4000 for £5 making it in effect a 4000 + 6000 Double Chance.

In the case of The International the extra £5 we are told is kept by the dealer at the table, at Fox I am not sure who keeps the extra £3 or £5.

The total juice at these venues is therefore very high as a % of the buy in on the smaller buy in comps. This is compensated by comps being quite soft at Fox (it is in a West End tourist area) and at The International by the fact that you often get to play some top quality players, and two or three world class players, in their £50 PLO Double Chance so it is a great way of improving your live PLO MTT game and of testing yourself.

I can't do a Stars transfer so it will need to be by U.K. bank transfer or by Skrill which I have just set up and am waiting for limits to be increased on.

2% reserved for you and thanks for your backing and your support.

P.S. I like the famous Di Canio / "The Ref went down in installments" avatar.

I've found the official EFOP web site with all of the structures and the good news is that the €1000 PLO has a great structure that should favour the skilful players over the gamblers.

http://www.aviationclubdefrance.com/series/efop/

It is a 3 x 5000 Triple Chance with a 45 minute clock and with blinds starting at 25/25. My favourite structure is a deep stacked Double or Triple Chance because it has some similarities to a PLO cash game and it gives me the flexibility to pick and choose when I want to take the second and third stacks.

The table dynamics will dictate when I will take the extra stacks and having three stacks also allows me if I wish to play with different levels of aggression with different stacks or combinations of stacks. My strategy will depend on other stack sizes, the strength or softness of the table and my table position in relation to the soft and tough spots.

I've been in some forum discussions before about the best strategy for a Double Chance or Triple Chance but as in the parody youtube cartoon interview with me I don't want to go exactly into the strategy on this post in case potential opponents are reading it.

The €250 H.O.R.S.E. is a decent structure, 10K chips, 30 mins, 25/50. The €50 Rebuy PLO to the €1000 PLO is 1500 chips, 25 mins, 25/50. I never go mental by making huge amounts of rebuys, I set myself a conservative limit of rebuys and try to let others make multiple rebuys and finance the prize pool for me.

I don't see a mention of juice on the web site so if it is deducted from the prize pools I will make refunds/add to pay outs to investors accordingly.

I am really looking forward to all of the comps in France. I find France a relaxing place to visit and in fact I think I'll do all of the travelling by train so that it is even more leisurely, leaving me very relaxed when I sit down to play.

I have dug this out from a previous staking thread. It shows all non NLHE comps that I had played up until the middle of September and gives some summaries of how I played in each tournament. P.R.O.P.S. tournaments consisted of a rotation of 8 hands each of Padooki, Razz, 5 Card PLO8, 5 Card PLO and Superstud8, with all games being played Pot Limit.

(The prefix number is the tournament number out of the 66 live MTTs I had played life time up until that point)

9. 13/8/2010 £115 PLO, The International, 23 Runners 5th, £0, (Final Table) (Rating 8.5/10) Played very well, made one brilliant pass with a big hand on the flop on the FT against a player who I worked out had me locked up (he showed and I was right) but then busted in a very marginal spot.

14. 28/8/2010 £330 PLO GUKPT, The Vic, 50 runners 34th £0 (rating 7/10) Never settled into the comp and played too weak in a big pot because I incorrectly over rated a player who put me all in on the turn when he had a big draw. I passed (I was winning on the turn) leaving myself short when I should have called. I have learned from this.

15. 2/9/2010 £225 GSOP PLO, The International, 44 Runners 9th £0 (Final Table) (rating 9.7/10) Played really, really well in this one but was busted on the FT by runner, runner after an over aggressive player had decided to get it all in pre with me. I had the best hand.

16. 10/9/2010 £500 PLO Satellite to WSOPE £5000 PLO, Empire Casino, runners 17, 13th,£0 (Rating 8.5/10) I made a semi bluff move on the flop against James Akenhead, I had an over pair and the effective nut flush draw and had a tell that he was not very strong when he bet. He had top and bottom two pair and made a puke call, it was for most of both of our chips but the man just can't pass. He was a small favourite when the money went in and his hand held.

18. 24/9/2010 £550 PLO Double Chance, European Poker Championships, The Vic, 66 Runners 3rd £5030 (Final Table) (Rating 9.5/10) Played near perfect TAG poker from start to finish with the occasional steal and move thrown in when card dead. Did some excellent laddering at the end to achieve a high placing having been short stacked for much of the comp. Was the short stack of the final three and busted in a hand where I was 45/55 to double up and become the average stack of 3.

19. 1/10/2010 £430 PLO Turbo Bounty, EPT London, 59 Runners 4th £1800 (Final Table) (Rating 9.9/10) Played very well and picked some great spots in which to get my chips in very good. Won a big three way pot early on by slow play tricking the original flop aggressor into getting his chips in bad (he was almost drawing dead). Again, needed to do some very calculated laddering towards the end to make the higher places.

20. 2/10/2010 £1100 PLO, EPT London, 59 Runners, 12th, £0, (Rating 8.5/10) Had the chip lead after 3 levels primarily by putting a Norwegian on my left on tilt, twice! I did this purely with speech play. He was so angry and tilted throughout that it looked like his head was about to explode. But then I went card dead for many levels and should have used my big stack to better effect but didn't. Ended up crawling over the line into day 2 with a very short stack and busted in one of the first few hands with a big run down against AAxx. Next time I have a dominating stack and then go card dead I won't be so passive. The eventual winner of the comp was a bit of a fish IMO, which makes it even more annoying.

21. 4/10/2010 £1100 PLO8, EPT London, 54 Runners, 33rd, £0 (Rating 7.5/10) I came into this comp exhausted from the 3 previous hard comps. I was never quite on my game and despite twice coming back from a bowl I eventually busted in a semi-cooler situation. But I was not playing at my best and had I cashed it would have been mainly down to luck.

22. 19/10/2010 £115 PLO, The International, 25 Runners, 21st, £0, (Rating 10/10). Got my money in 3 way on the flop with a wrap and a flush draw against top set and middle set but couldn't get there. Played all hands correctly, including this one, hence the rating of 10/10.

24. 2/11/2010 £115 PLO, The International, 13 Runners, 3rd, £260, (Rating 8.8/10) Played well in this comp. Was unfortunate when busting to Gabriel Forde in 3rd place as he made a complete misread of my hand on the flop but hit trips on the turn. (Gabriel is a very good player)http://www.gutshot.com/results/playe...le.php?id=1470

25. 7/11/2010 £60 P.R.O.P.S., The International, 30 Runners, 4th, £165, (Rating 10/10) Played as well as I could do in this one. Busted in 4th place with under trips 333<555 in Superstud.

26. 19/11/2010 £550 GUKPT PLO, The Vic, 31 Runners, 15th, £0, (Rating 7.2/10) Was just a kind of average performance meaning I gradually got short stacked and in the end was priced into a semi gamble that just failed. Had the nuts on the turn but got rivered for a higher straight. Winning that pot would still only have got me back to the average stack.

27. 25/11/2010 £215 Players Championship P.R.O.P.S., 45 Runners, 26th, £0, (Rating 9/10) I was dominant in this and had 90K of chips when the average was about 30K. Then through a cruel twist of fate I doubled up the eventual winner Slav 3 times, all in flip type situations where the money went in early in the hand. We both played each of the hands correctly. He had arrived at my table with 9K! I felt like I was the best player in this tournament and should have won it.

30. 4/1/2011 £115 P.R.O.P.S., The International, 18 Runners, 3rd, £360, (Final Table), (Rating 10/10) Another well played comp. I don't recall how I busted but it must have been playing properly because of the rating I gave myself.

31. 8/1/2011 £45 PLO, Fox Poker Club, 28 Runners, 4th, £250, (Final Table), (Rating 9.5/10) Played really solid in this one and concentrated very hard throughout. The field was quite soft. Stacks got shallow near the end and I busted in a pot where the hand played itself for both players.

32. 1/2/2011 £115 P.R.O.P.S., The International, 17 Runners, 4th, £0, (Final Table), (Rating 8.5/10) I was multi tabling (not a good idea in hindsight) with a £25 NLHE comp. Consequently I missed a few hands and had to give up a few blinds uncontested. Not a bad performance considering, although always short stacked. I very nearly laddered into the money places, which started at 3rd place.

36. 15/2/2011 £115 PLO, 11 Runners, The International, 1st, £550, (Final Table!) (Rating 9/10). Played well although got extremely lucky in one big hand on the FT against Barry Earnshaw. I should really have finished 3rd, not 1st.

37. 22/2/2011 £60 H.O.R.S.E., The International, 20 Runners, 11th, £0, (Rating 7.8/10). Played okay but not great. Bust out was with QQ against A2 (that raised pre) on a 922 board in Limit Hold'em.

38. 1/3/2011 £115 P.R.O.P.S., The International, 11 runners, 3rd, £220, (Final Table!), Rating 8.8/10. Another good P.R.O.P.S. performance by me. I don't recall the bust out hand.

39. 9/3/2011, £58 R.O.E. NLHE/PLO, Fox Poker Club, 21 runners, 4th, £130, Final Table, Rating 9.0/10. Another soft field at Fox but still had to play well to cash.

40. 11/3/2011, £330 GUKPT PLO, The Vic, 64 runners, 58th, £0, Rating 7.0/10. Played my bust out hand all wrong on the turn. Check raised instead of check calling with my draw and had to call the shove for pot odds. I was about 2/1 to hit but missed. Bad play by me.

41. 12/3/2011, £48 PLO8, Fox Poker Club, 25 runners, 19th, £0, Rating 8.0/10. Soft field. Played well and was unfortunate to not scoop a couple of big pots (got halved by players making terrible calls on the turn). Eventually busted out to the old man from the Dolmio adverts (a look alike) who played a hand weird on the flop, which fooled me.

42. 16/3/2011, £58 R.O.E. NLHE/PLO, Fox Poker Club, 6 runners, 2nd, £90, Final Table, Rating 9.2/10. Played very well and held my own heads up against a very good NLHE player, Andrew Grant, who had a 3 to 1 chip lead HU but was made to battle by me. HU lasted a long time.

43. 21/3/2011, £230 LPM H.O.R.S.E., The International, 17 runners, 5th, £0, Final Table, Rating 9.0/10. Never picked up many hands throughout but battled my way to day 2. Always short stacked and busted against chip leader in PLO8 in an AIP near flip.

45. 29/3/2011, £20 PLO Rebuy (I spent £48, average spend was £78), The International, 18 runners, 12th, £0, Rating 10.0/10. Played very well but was unprepared to make multiple rebuys so was at a natural disadvantage in this near crap shoot of a comp.

47. 12/4/2011, £20 PLO Rebuy (I spent £25, average spend was £53), The International, 12 runners, 9th, (Final Table!) £0, Rating 8.5/10. Played well but pre determined to make no rebuys, so tough to do well in this without running super good, which I didn't.

48. 10/5/2011, £60 PLO Double Chance, The International, 27 runners, 11th, £0, Rating 6/10. Played very well until my bust out hand (rating up to that point 10/10) but then I busted with my only ever live MTT misclick. It was very annoying and extremely embarrassing.

49. 17/5/2011, £60 PLO Double Chance, 25 runners, The International, 11th, £0, Rating 10/10. Played optimal throughout but couldn't hit flops or draws. Busted in a great spot with lots of dead money in the middle with my double suited run down against weak aces.

53. 20/7/2011, £220 PLO, Grosvenor London Championships, The Vic, 83 runners, 15th, £0, Rating 8.5/10. Played well in a tough line up. Eventually busted with my ATT9 double suited against an over aggressive Norwegian who I pwned pre and who got it in with A456 double suited and got there. We were both big stacks at the time.

55. 2/8/2011, £60 PLO, The International, 19 runners, 1st, £540, (Final Table), Rating 9/10. Just a good performance throughout. I ran the table in the early levels. When it got to HU with Gabriel Forde he had a 2.5/1 chip lead but I found a way to trap him a couple of times. I played great HU.

64. 30/8/2011, £60 PLO, The International, 19 runners, 6th, £0, (Final Table), Rating 8.5/10. Played well but busted in a hand that played itself for both players.

65. 7/9/2011, £60 PLO, The International, 25 runners, 8th, £0, (Final Table), Rating 10/10. Played perfectly but ran bad in two out of 3 pots against JJ Hazan. (all were quite close in equity). The last of the 3 hands gave either he or I a very big stack, obviously it was him!

66. 14/9/2011, £60 PLO, The International, 23 runners, 2nd, £336, (Final Table), Rating 9.5/10. Played perfect MTT PLO throughout. 0.5 point deduction from my ratings is for one hand when HU that was an almost impossible lay down that I couldn't quite make. Was outchipped 5 to 1 going into HU but made my opponent battle very hard and I had a shard of light a couple of times but succumbed after 60 minutes of HU.
