Well, in case people did not see on twitter, the two WSOP events went pretty poorly.

In the NL/PLO, beginning was fairly standard but did include a non-standard double barrel with 8765 on AJ2J that worked. The final hand occurred when a fishy short stack opens in UTG1 to 400 off 2600 at 75/150. A moderately aggressive player who covers who favored NL calls in the HJ. I have KKJTdd in the BB and raise to 1600 off 8200 to iso the short stack as the flatter should be 3 betting AA. Short stack proceeds to call and, shockingly, the flatter 3 bets to 3800. Even tho he obviously has AA, we block the premium AA combos and cannot fold given this price. The flop comes J94hh. Given we know he likely has naked aces and we have decent equity, we shove for 40% pot. He tanks and find the call with AA97 and the board bricks. We had 42% equity in that spot when called as well as some fold equity to be against some random hand from the short stack. Short stack had A358 in this case lol. Obviously, the small 4 bet is really bad, but we could not punish him for it.

The 1500 did not really seem real. After chipping up with KK to 11k vs an overplayed AK, we run KK into AA for 40 bbs. Then we see the beautiful AA utg at 75/150/25 and raise to 400 off 7500. Rec player then 3 bets to 1400 in UTG + 2 off 7000 or so. Then a non-standard middle age semi-pro who covers 4 bets to 4100 in MP. We obviously shove. UTG + 2 folds QQ and MP calls with KK. Door card is the K and we cannot improve.

Quite disappointing to be done in by unavoidable spots and not being able to use the knowledge I have gained over the last few months. Will try to win this SNG tho.

Did not end up playing the sng as the reg lines were very long and I really did not want to spend any time at the Rio tbh. I have gone 0 for 8 in tournaments when staying there and 3 for 8 for decent cashes when staying elsewhere, so gonna change it up in the future. Will send refunds either tonight, no later than tomorrow night. Thanks again for the investments.
