Re: Stupid KK hand at legends

Yea, 9k more makes my stack less than M 5.

If I suck out, I have a great stack. If I lose, I'm basically crippled.

If I fold, I still have an m of about 15. But metagame issues would potentially open me up to attacks.

Ugh.

Just wondering if anyone finds a fold.

Spoiler:

You are almost getting odds to call if he turned Q9 face up. Can you find bettter hands to post?

Jezze. Yea, I know I was "almost" getting odds. But calling and losing as a 3 to 1 dog is not how you win tournaments.

I guess im being too nitty.

Yea I have better hand examples. This one was just particularly annoying.

You're being results oriented, if he calls a 3x raise OOP with Q9 he calls QT, QJ KQ and JT. You can't be sure that he doesn't jam worse. There aren't any obvious 2 pair hands in his range and QQ raises pre so he has two sets and sometimes turns up with Q9

If you are so sure that he has two pair + then fold but then don't post it because it's based on your read and you either trust it or you don't if you don't you call.

If he just jammed into me it would be a super easy call - the CRAI is what led me here.

I bring it up not to whine - I really did question if I should have called, or gone with my read. It is a marginal situation at best, and I tend to think I can improve in marginal situations.

Nevertheless, thanks for the line check.

I'm sorry but it isn't marginal at all.

Re: Stupid KK hand at legends

Feel very nitty sometimes but this is really a no brainer shove like the others said. He will do this with Qx and JT or sometimes even hands like A8 often enough to make your call profitable. Ignore the moronic villain 1.

Re: Stupid KK hand at legends

+ your read wasn't that accurate. Like I said, what do you think he'll do with any other Qx-hand or open ended straight draw? You think he'll fold them? Just calling and then folding turn? He had one of the hands that would shove, sure. But he could have had a couple of other hands that you'll beat as well. Don't fool yourself in thinking you can put people on exact hands, because you can't.
