So my question is for R+A format tournaments that run regularly on a very soft site, the late reg period lasts for 1 hour and doesn't have any antes, if I would late reg on last minute, I will get a 10bb stack and immediately would be able to buy the add-on which will put me at 26bbs. I get 90chips/dollar, while the average player playing the tournament gets around 75chips/dollar, because around 1/3-1/4 of the field don't rebuy until the addon or take the addon if they would be able to. My question is: is it more profitable to play the tournament from the first level, increasing my ABI for the tournament? I find myself having to play sort of nitty, like I'm trying to mincash a tournament except I'm waiting for the add-on period to start if I do play the tournament from the beginning. Should I just hunt after the fish in the start before they go bust and dont re-buy?

Play from first level. Some people play crazy during Rebuy period.

In general, don't late reg the knockouts. Otherwise late is okay but not too late, like 25/50 is okay but 50/100 might be pushing it. In your case I would play from the start and try to go to the add on with 150 bb's or 80bb's or whatever instead of 10, which is too dependent on getting lucky with the short stack.

Reg as early as possible in R+A
Develop loose image then start betting and over betting hard with strong value hands
