Check out the Pokerstars MTT thread under MTT Community - looks like this has escalated into an even bigger issue today with what sounds like nearly all players affected. Outcome sounds outrageous.

Support is as bad as never before. Not only did they refuse to give an adequate refund, but they did reason it with a simple miscalculation. It's ridiculous. Also my reasoning on why >ICM value refund would be a fair deal was simply ignored and so was my question whether they're fine with copying the exact answer to 2p2, so I currently refrain from doing so.

Honestly wouldn't be surprised if they start arguing that bounties are considered a funny addition that shouldn't be regarded as part of equity, although paid for.

I've made quite positive experiences with the support in the past, but this is just wrong.
Your refund is based on a simple calculation mistake, 61564/200320000 * 50080 $ = 15,39 $ ; not 7.7 $. Also I gave reasoning on why a refund greater than the result of this calculation is fair and adequate, which was simply ignored. There might be reasons to disagree with this point, however just ignoring it is not a fair way to treat customers. Also my question if you are fine with posting your answer on 2p2 was ignored, so I refrained from copying the exact answer.
As announced I've posted my honest opinion on the matter on 2p2 and other forums, along with other players that are annoyed by how support is handling issues caused by stars recently and along with them I'm advocating new and older customers to switch/register to other poker sites. As a long-term customer who has paid >100k $ in rake and has been satisfied with stars until amaya took over, I'm very disappointed at how things develop since 2014 and how former loyal customers are treated. If the overall goal is to push out net withdrawing regs aka liquidity providers and raking accelerators from the site, the company is doing just fine. Just keep in mind new potential customers are prefering to register other sites instead of stars if they're just welcome as net depositors. People who aren't compulsive gamblers liked the perspective of winning money at poker based on skill they can potentially develop, having things in their own hands, that's what differentiated poker from -ev games like roulette and created a market in the first place. Without encouraging this with treating this group of people adequately, you are going to lose a fair share of potential and old customers.

btw: nearly needless to say they take several days now to answer such request whereas in the past they answered within minutes. amaya ****s up everything for a short-term buck, not even investing adequately into stable servers, security or support. Hope they gonna go broke and someone with a wider horizon than next quarter financial results, like the Scheinbergs, buy back the site.

Positive: They apologized for the calculation error, did an additional refund. Funny tho the reasoning was once again followed by a misunderstanding of how equity is defined, but I'll leave that for good.

Negative: My Questions were ignored again, inlcuding if I'm allowed to quote the exact mail, so I won't. Instead I got the expected "It doesn't matter to us if players are net withdrawers" bull**** etc.

don't play partypoker. last year i turned 500 in nearly 10k while on a sick heater. i withdrew the money but left 1k on the site. i then turned that 1k into almost 5k but then the software started to freeze on me in the middle of hands and i had to forfeit my bets. i lost nearly 3k like this. i complained like crazy but they responded that they couldnt do anything since it was a problem on my end. i told them to go F themselves. since i won money it seemed like they thought i should be happy with it. since i worked an 80 hour a week job i didnt really have time to play again. when i decided to play again i joined ACR and i have been happy with the site esp. the tournaments. def not as many players as stars but they have some big tourneys and when i have had issues i contacted an ACR rep who posts on this site and he has been really helpful and fair. i will never play party again. the software is so buggy and it can't be like that when one is playing midstakes.

as for ur problem with Stars keep complaining. i am surprised stars screwed you but then again something is going on with them behind the scenes and it hasnt been good for the players. if what happened to you happened to me i would raise hell. your chips were worth way more than the measly 30 bucks they refunded you.
