Re: not necesary but sweet imo
yes, it really does look, & feel like a bluff on the river.... you turned what you thought ws gin into a bluff...and it felt (until the last bet) like you were just hoping to get to showdown. I would've led the flop. and if I were to continue, led the turn to rep.... and if called, shut down, or if raised, just folded , there are just too many hands that beat us. (we are only really ahead of AK, right? )
I agree with fold pre, esp if you not really really good at post flop play (which often means being able to fold a top two pair hand like this). KJ is a serious reverse implied odds hand as you can see from this outcome. , With 250 BB's I'd much rather have 98s than KJ. I'm not saying that, in the heat of the moment, I personally wouldn't have lost a fair amount of chips here, but not my stack.
If I were the villain here, there's no was I would fold Broadway based on your line... If you had the flush it was a little bit suspicious that you checked that flop with a FD, then didn't lead out, but Check raised the turn and ESPECIALLY that you C/R'd the river ....... look at it from V's point of view, it was a very risky check on the river....... if you really thought you had the best hand... why would you risk a check behind, also, as pointed out, it was simply unlucky that the V had the A/spades in his hand, which makes your C/R allin look almost like it has to be a bluff.
you took a shot with the C/R on the turn, that was ok.... it didn't work... not another cent shouldve gone in on that board.
