I know I'm sort of capped to one pair of Aces and he can take advantage of that

His range includes lots of pocket pairs, which you beat, plus a few Aces that you beat, plus more Aces that you don't beat. Conceivably a set. Your line has been quite passive and it's possible he puts you on a better PP or a weak Ace that he can fold out.

The only draw that seems plausible is 87, and if that's the case, you're quite dead. But that's a small part of his range.

Yeah, I'd call. I think you're good maybe 40% to 45% of the time here.

Yeah,I have to be good 33% but I don't know how many bluffs he has here.

Tough spot. Maybe vill has A5? I think I find a fold here.

Actually would vill pot this with A5 as you have 78s in your range.

The more I look at this the more the villains line confuses me and I probably end up calling when I'm in the moment.

Think I check flop here. Going three streets is kind of thin with AT.

I would call river because this has to be, as played the best hand I reach river with.

I like the check flop line on such a dray board, but I confess in-game I probably just bet.

Gregz is so right about us being near the top of our range given the action.

In a different buy-in tournament, I would just read the big bet as a very strong hand. But here it is possible that villain is trying to get us off a decent ace or medium pair. But then again, what does he ever call with on the flop that he would turn into a bluff now. For that reason, I think we need to fold, despite it being quite wrong in a balance perspective.

Just because you 3 bet doesn't mean you have to call if villain shoves, this is what a 3bet/fold is. In this case I don't like 3bet/folding though for a few reasons.

1. You have a hand that plays well post flop (I would much rather 3bet/fold A10o)

2. You're OTB.

3. I think we're just a bit too deep to be 3bet/folding, would rather be doing it with 25-30 bb's

As played, I think you played it fine, but I think I'm sigh calling.

Yes I think its a frequently occured spot where we should prefer to delay aggression w TP+bds if we have reasons to think we cant bet turn again turning FD.

I'd say it's more that you shouldn't be actively looking to take bet/check/bet lines.

I think we want some Ax hands that we check back so we can continue on a variety of runouts. Not sure if I'd want AT in that range or not since it's probably one of the strongest Ax hands we can have here seeing that we didn't 3-bet.
