Bad shove. If you have 15-17bbs, I like it better. But in this spot, you are shoving 23bbs and your tournament life to pick up 8bbs (was their any antes? still makes it a -EV shove).

I like a 4 bet bluff in this spot where it would cost me 30% of my chips max, or the 15-17bbs as mentioned. Don't be results orientated, it is not profitable in the long run.

Not horrendous, but I do concede that I dislike my own advice today, and do prefer a 23bbs shove then a 15-17bbs... (I guess I was on tilt yesterday, and it showed not only in my previous comment, but in the way I played...). That said, a 3bet bluff committing at max 30% of your stack is still sound advice.

So I do like the shove, do think it is slightly +EV and that you have the right stack to do so. The question is more : do you want to take a marginal edge? How tough was the table?
