Live $440: Spot w/QQ

Live $440
1 hour levels
6K/12K/2Ka
In money (36 left from around 1K players)

Hero: 197K (16BBs)
Vill: 250K+

Read on villain: Young, fairly active, had called down a 150K shove from TAGish female and shown weird AxQc on a 9c8c4x flop (female had Kc9c), so def a bit sketchy

Vill raises to 26K from EP

Hero has QQ in cut off. Our action?

If QQ are red, shove. If QQ are black, smile & shove. If mixed, say "I'll put YOU all-in" as you shove all your chips over the line.

Relax guys--YES I SHIPPED, vill has AA, GG me.

But why do I get the impression that this thread is being replied to by 100% net players who only play 15 min level turbos? I made the thread to think if there are any better ways to play this. Maybe there are none, but what is this forum for anyway?

I mean try and transport your mind to a 1 hour-levels live tourney, where you've been playing for 7 hours with the same villain. You might even have some reads that could be useful. If you do that you could try the following:

Vill made a 26K open, which was the standard open most were making at this stage so nothing seemed tricky about that. But how about we try a 3bet to something like 60-65K? Then if vill smooth calls, of course we get it in on T high flop anyway with same result.

But if vill 4bets or ships, we can think about folding since we would still have 10BBs for a better spot. We know that we don't want to see 3 hands: AA, KK and also not really AK since it's a flip, and his 4bet or ship certainly could be one of those hands.

Of course we assess vill after he makes his play and see what we can learn but is it just bad to consider this as an option?

Glad to know I'm playing perfect poker and all my threads belong in BBV (they probably do actually)...

My serious 2 cents is that 16bb deep this can never be a fold. A lot deeper and we can maybe talk about a fold.

this makes no mathematical sense, if you are 3betting 30%+ of your stack you need to never be folding. doing anything like that live or online is a major leak. Realistically you are worried about 2 hands that beat you and if you are scared to flip with QQ and 16bb vs AK then stop playing.

Do you think a cash game player who has played millions of hands of 100bb+ poker is going to tell you to do anything other than jam here?

When you 3b half your stack it's going to be blatantly obvious to everyone that you're huge and you're never folding. So instead of being forced to sigh/call with the bottom of his calling range when you jam, he can happily laugh at you and fold the bottom, jam the middle, and flat call with the top of his range and let you hang yourself on the flop.

3b/f with 16BB to start hand w/ QQ might be consider a leak in some circles.
