as it turns out,

yes. one V would pay off a turn shove. but only because he picked up an unlikely 2 pr ott.
3bet mr followed by shove ott would have had effectively the same end result: utg folds, V2 calls.

gregz has this spot on. the small donk ott would have picked up more chips from utg than any other option.

we do terrible against their calling range if we jam pre--we probably have enough FE to make it slightly +ev but we are in bad shape against their calling range.

I like the min 3b because they are never going to fold, and we create a pot to stack ratio on the turn that makes getting stacks in much easier.
