last two tables of night owl on merge bvb spot where i dont know wtf to do

villain is 16/9 over like 80 hands and a 50% steal in 6 chances
i was playing at like 28/21....
hes also a random to me fwiw....my first thought was to jam but looking at his stats and stack he could be b/calling a good amount of the time
mostly curious on pre flop thoughts...if there is any discussion ill post the rest of the hand

3-bet, don't need to shove with given stacksizes. Villain looks pretty nitty, although he's stealhappy.

I for one don't think it's an lol ez shove spot
Would like to hear arguements/ranges
Vs a nitty players open I think piling in 23 bb is not awesome
As stated in op I think he's likely b/calling alot of the time. (i didn't jam pre)

i like a raise to about 7-8k in this spot and you can fold if he comes over the top . I dont think you should be shoving so lightly with so many big blinds left , its kind of silly imo .

agreed 3b/f is best it puts him in such a bad spot where it looks like your not folding a lot so he is in terrible spot once you 3bet esp since he is stealing about 50% and also shoving just lets him play perfect on you only call ahead, fold behind but you can get him to fold his hands he behind with only a normal 3bet and less risk and it even folds out a few hands you are behind like some smaller pairs might find a fold to the 3bet or even sometimes an A9 or A8 gives up

is flatting and floating not a viable option?

obv.
I would flat a9o or a7s for sure but A7o can be called and shoved

Dont understand why you always have to float here although i cant imagine a lot of boards where i fold to cbet

i like 3b/f he's never shoving worse (besides maybe kq) but we still take it often enough to show a profit
