I've been thinking about this hand all afternoon and am still not sure what the right decision was.

$70+10 Sunday tourney at local casino. Blinds are 800-1600, 200 anti. I have 18bb. CO raises 2xBB, button calls, I have 66 in the SB, so I decide to squeeze and go all-in. BB wasn't a factor.

CO was nitty and button was loose aggressive. I had just won a suck out five hands earlier to double up.

Was this the right position to do this? I could easily have called instead, but there's almost 10k in chips in the middle, so a push felt right. Later checking equity to those ranges, I figure I was about 30%...

Just flat with the pp, as you are getting a discount to see the flop multiway. You are getting good immediate and implied odds to hit.

In general, I would look to squeeze shove in multiway pots live, as everyone wants to see a flop, but they will have trouble calling a shove.

Is this not one of those cases, or are you looking for one or two more callers? Since it was CO I figured his range was wide, same with button...

Pushing is better than folding, but with a pp there is more profit in just calling, getting 5-1 immediate 4-ways or 4.3-1 3-ways. I would probably his push over a single raise, but call multiway.

Ok that makes a lot of sense. At the time I wanted the sure 5bb and antis, and thought if I was called then I'm still 20% to a higher PP. But you're right, in that case I only double up, whereas if I hit my set I could have done better multiway...
