1st/2000$, 2nd/1200$
5k/10k blinds / 10% ante

Have about 220k, opponent (solid tournament reg on site) has 540k

Just curious, what's the preference in BB w/KcJc when he min opens to 20k as he's been doing frequently | the majority of his button's so far HU - Reshove/Call/Reraise?

Yeah know that's the standard; (and what I did) I guess I was just curious if anyone plays it slower to realize more equity later in the hand... Rather than go for raw equity

With your stack, I can see all 3 options being relevant: shove; call; or 3 bet to about 45k. Your stack is right at the high end of my shove sizing compared to his open. I really like the effective stack to be less than 10x the open, but I will from time to time shove 11x the open.

Since all 3 seem like valid replies to me, I guess it would come down to my reads on the opponent, his heads up skill level, and the game flow up to that point. I can say though, that if I was under the impression that my opponent may be better at heads up than I am, I would opt to shove. I think it is really important to be honest with yourself here. Many players really do over estimate their skill level.

If I felt I was better, or getting the better of it recently, I would choose one of the other two options based on his tendencies. if he had a post flop weakness such as playing face up on turn and river, I would call. If he didn't have any post flop tendencies I could easily exploit, I think I would 3 bet and try to take the initiative.
