Veeeery first hand of a 2 day tournament
Blinds are 1,5k/3k 300

Utg opens 6500, Btn calls 6500, Hero is BB with TT
Eff stack is Utg stack: 22bb

Hero opted to flat because i have 0 reads on both oponents, and a never gii pre against a worst hand (Btn stack = Hero Stack)

I played 2 times day 2 with Utg - He played like a nit, he is a rec

FLOP (23K): A83
Everyone checks

TURN (23K): 8
Hero Leads 9K, Utg Calls, Btn folds

RIVER (41K): 4
Utg has 30k left

Hero checks, Utg bets 16,500.

I don't expect to see him vbet 99-KK (he could problably check back those hands otf ''afraid of the ace''), he probably bets all flush draws on the flop, he has some combos of 8x in his range + he bet 1/2 of him stack otr, i think thats so hard to see a rec betting like this with a bluff.

Hero folds.

What do you guys think ?

On the break he said me that he had 44.

If you bet the flop you are not in that situation

Don't post results in post.

I'm probably ripping it in pre, but that might be a mistake. OTT I'd rather go bigger. 9k is pretty small. That being said I don't understand your river check. If I'm betting for value on the turn then I am continuing to be for value on this river.

I agree. Going all in pre he's not in the hand. He would be putting you on Queens or better and fold

This is not good logic with 22bb and so much fold equity.
Shove pre

I see your thinking behind flatting in this spot. Were you ITM already ?

I think as played folding was correct OTR. We can discuss what should/could of happened PF but as played, good fold on the river man.

AK is a worse hand. AQ is a worse hand. 99 is a worse hand. Hell, 88 is a worse hand you might get called by if you go all in pre. Not to mention the amount of chips that you pick up if they fold pre
