F2T of the $3r: We flop trips on the button.

12 left in the $3r, 1st pays $2K. Our image fairly active, villain is 22/17 with 4.3% 3b over 135 hands. Aggression factor of 3. Quite a lot of 3 and 4betting going on at the table.

anyone checking or folding at any point?

Poker Stars, $3 Buy-in (8,000/16,000 blinds, 1,600 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 6 Players

CO: 402,829 (25.2 bb)
Hero (BTN): 541,372 (33.8 bb)
SB: 483,490 (30.2 bb)
BB: 954,063 (59.6 bb)
UTG: 381,160 (23.8 bb)
MP: 731,789 (45.7 bb)

Preflop: (9,600) Hero is BTN with 9 K
3 folds, Hero raises to 33,469, SB folds, BB calls 17,469

Flop: (84,538) 3 K K (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 42,269, BB calls 42,269

Turn: (169,076) 7 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 84,538, BB raises to 169,076, Hero calls 84,538

River: (507,228) J (2 players)
BB bets 294,958, Hero ...

edit: yeah his river bet is exactly what we have left.

has he typed in your remaining stack as the river bet?

If so snap, I want to fold otherwise but I don't and I'm not checking anywhere

3b% seems kinda low so 77/33/KT+ is all in his range.
if i was to fold anywhere its river but i doubt it.

BvB on F2T? K3, K7 folds pre, KJ 3bets pre, any pair 3bets pre. Stats become less representative on this stage, opponents become more agressive. So I call and see the bluff.

see if he's going to bluff then why not bluff on the flop? seems a little sophisticated for a guy in the 3r to float the flop, c/r turn and shove river close to the FT bubble. and what value hands are we actually beating?

But villain's line is unusual for any hand that beats you, isn't it?
And why he must bluff this paired rainbow flop more often than turn? He would rep nothing raising flop.

i think u're beat a lot, can't see him spazzing out with worse here on f2t.
but this is a fold i could almost never ever make.

not true, like i agree he will 3bet more frequently than 4% his overall 3bet% seems pretty small for a LAG.
he def has some valuecombos in his flatting range that are > K9o on that texture/with these lines
which makes it also a good spot to bluff for him for obv reasons (not to fold out OPs Kx or better obv)

Wow this is such an unfortunate spot, think the skill level of this player is crucial in terms of your river decision...vs a decent player who has an abi over like 12 or 13 I think it's an easy call just because they're going to be capable of putting the pressure on this close to the final table bubble...however some monkey with an abi of like 5 is never clowning around here and it's a sigh fold IMO

this rings very true and against standard 3R competition we are smoked...It is far to sophisticated a play and stacks are massaged too well for that river shove...

Not sure I can fold but I really got a bad feeling
