Ignition Sunday 162. 20K up top. ITM with about 70 left. We have above average stack about 215K something like 10/70. 3K/6K/400 or 500 ante I think.

9 handed, folds to MP2 who makes it 14k with 90K starting. Earlier he opened 2.8x with 18bb from EP and folded to an SB shove getting about 1.9:1, so his range isn't nutted here.

HJ flats with about 230K behind - has me covered. Not really sure on his range, but I imagine it's strong.

Folds to me in BB with A2cc. If it's just opener and myself I am folding pre, but given the big stack has tagged along, do people defend here ever?

I call.

Flop TsQcKc (50K pot).
Hero checks
MP2 checks
HJ bets 25k into 50k pot.
Hero flats... I didn't want to c/r get it in vs HJ here because we're 35ish BB effective which is a big stack in this tourney, not really looking to play my draw that aggressive OOP.
MP2 then jams 75k and HJ flats...

Hero??? Pot is about 220K and it's about 50K to call. If I were to just call then if I brick turn and check, and villian shoves, it would be about 400K pot 125K to call, so we'd only need like 24% equity at that point and would have it with our nut draw.

I don't see any option but jamming given the action now so decide to jam flop. I haven't calculated our equity vs their ranges but I can't see folding here either.

Major questions in this hand are: Do we defend pre? What's our best plan on the flop? Should we be okay with our plan of c/calling in some instances, but given the action that occurred, is it okay that against this specific line we end up jamming?

Prob shouldnt be folding this pre regardless if big stack tags along or not. Big stack cold-calling gives you more incentive to call.

AP, just rip it in. You've gotta win flips or all-ins like these to win/final table a tournament

X/c flop is fine
