Deep in The Bigger $22- facing a 4bet shove
8-9 hours deep with about 30 ish players remaining. I just had a table change and seen about 25-30 hands at this new table. It's been a very agro table, I have been quite aggressive myself 3betting almost every hand I entered. And I am facing a 4B shove from an Agro Maniac, who had seem to be playing alot of his hands and playing very agressive.
How do I play this hand next time vs the same type of player.
Do you agree that it is the correct fold? (calling off 35 BB's preflop with middle pair is never a good play) what do you think?
How would you play this hand?

Even tho he's been aggro like u say, 99 is rarely ahead in this spot. Good fold.

Re: Deep in The Bigger $22- facing a 4bet shove
you had folded to a 4 bet atleast once already and possibly twice in two orbits. you'd folded to a few 3 bets with your opens. you'd shown nothing but aggression when you have a chance to raise.
I call based on the fact that hes shipping a lot more air than he is QQ+ AK, which I think he is either flatting or 4betting to 120K or so

Re: Deep in The Bigger $22- facing a 4bet shove
Why 3bet an aggro maniac here with such a good hand unless you're looking to get it in? Just flat the open if you're going to fold to this.
And yeah as played he's sort of weighted towards AQ/AK, small-medium pairs and air rather than QQ+ so I'd probably call pretty happily

Re: Deep in The Bigger $22- facing a 4bet shove
Thanks for the replies, Chooches.
I totally disagree with you posters and that calling off 35bb's preflop a good play, which I think would be a horrible call. sick poker players who sees angles and all would agree with me here.
facing a 4b shove allin from UTG, when you re raised from EP does very well indicate that your beat by a significant of hands, TT+ JJ+ QQ+ KK+ AA+ and at the best in a coin flip situation which I thought I was here vs AK, AQ in villains range.
Your facing a 4B shove all-in for 70% of your stack. And calling off that much percentage of your chips is a bad play regardless, knowing that your fliping at the best. and beat by everything else.
I would agree that flatting could of been a better play vs this type of player in my position that I was in.

Why did you post the hand if you're going to ignore advice?

Re: Deep in The Bigger $22- facing a 4bet shove
well guys, why would you call off 70% of your stack with 99s? is that really a good play ur at risk for alot of ur chips...... plus theres abs no odds whatsoever.

a) if you mean there are no odds...well thats wrong, because we obviously have odds
b) why are you ignoring that most villians wouldn't play QQ+ like this/any other advice being given??
c) 99 is a strong hand

Re: Deep in The Bigger $22- facing a 4bet shove
3b/f this hand is just atrocious with the table dynamic you have described
What do you think his 4bshoving range is OP?
Can you explain what you mean by 'no odds whatsoever'?

There are odds obviously, what you are failing to consider is why you are 3betting a hand this good without a reason. If you are folding to a 4bet with 99 then don't 3bet

Re: Deep in The Bigger $22- facing a 4bet shove
seems perfectly fine to 3b/c as described
given positions flatcalling initially aint awful either.

Re: Deep in The Bigger $22- facing a 4bet shove
OP, I suggest modesty and ability to listen, you took almost worst possible line and can't handle the critic. Even open fold is better in this spot most likely. Don't post hands on public forums if you don't care about the advice given.

Re: Deep in The Bigger $22- facing a 4bet shove
Good fold ! I have the same situation in The big 22.
I wasn't aggressive at all, sitting in the middle position with 200k.
I put 3 or 4BB , then get Allin 150k from BB. He put all in few hands ago.
So I decide to call , he show KK.
