Started the day with 55bb. Second in chips at the table. 10 hands in very old guy with 40bb stack To my direct right still hasn't showed up. Next hand he shows up. He's dealt in. Not paying attention.
Utg2 ships for 15bb. Not seeing the open shove, old man looks at his cards has no idea there was an all in in front of him. He puts out a raise and we immediately call the floor over. The floor rules that old man can forfeit his 2.5bb open, or call the 15bb all in. After a few minutes he says **** it I call the 15bb.
I'm next I look down at AK. I know old guy didn't wanna even call the all in. So I know I have him. He has 40bb total, with 15 already in there.
My question to the forum is, is it the correct strategy to risk my stack (20th in chips out of 169) in this spot with AK? It's the first level of day two. Given the scenario? Real interesting situation in my opinion.
