11 players left ... I'm rec player and seen as such (chatting, getting lucky in some spots) the caller has been fairly active ... this hand came up ... what to do

PokerStars - 2500/5000 Ante 800 NL - Holdem - 7 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

UTG: 12.45 BB (VPIP: 4.55, PFR: 3.23, 3Bet Preflop: 4.17, Hands: 66)
UTG+1: 35.24 BB (VPIP: 43.69, PFR: 35.00, 3Bet Preflop: 31.03, Hands: 104)
MP: 45.01 BB (VPIP: 14.42, PFR: 11.54, 3Bet Preflop: 4.17, Hands: 104)
CO: 18.86 BB (VPIP: 9.52, PFR: 4.88, 3Bet Preflop: 4.76, Hands: 43)
BTN: 16.43 BB (VPIP: 16.67, PFR: 8.06, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 66)
Hero (SB): 40.43 BB
BB: 15.92 BB (VPIP: 11.90, PFR: 10.00, 3Bet Preflop: 8.33, Hands: 43)

7 players post ante of 0.16 BB, Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.62 BB) Hero has J J

UTG raises to 12.29 BB and is all-in, fold, MP calls 12.29 BB, fold, fold, [color=red] hero...??

Go allin, very happily.

So MP decided to flat instead of isolating.
You are the only remaining player at the table with a stack that could threaten his.
So did he flat hoping to induce action from you or did he flat with the intention of folding to your shove and avoid losing too many chips with a moderately strong hand?
Both scenarios seem equally likely to me, so I would go back to the actual strength of our hand compared to villain's range (and I would consider his whole range here, not excluding any hand which he would always shove with or something).
I think 88+, AJ+ is reasonable for MP to have, it could be looser, but rarely tighter. If he does plan to fold to a shove by you, he could get it in with much worse like smaller pairs, AT, KQ or others.
A shove is kind of high variance but I think it's a spot we need to take.

Edit: I realise that I hadn't taken the progressive bounty into consideration. Depending on UTG's bounty, this will definitely widen villain's range! And it also increases the odds of villain planning to fold to an eventual shove by you and happily calling off the few additional BBs in case another player shoves. So this is definitely a shove imo in this scenario.

I'm away from my computer for the next 10 days ( taking the kids to Disney world ) I'll check when I get home... thanks for the help. I was wondering if icm considerations came into play where folding even I'm ahead of his range made more sense because of how many times I'll run into AQ+ ... anyone know a decent software where I can learn end game icm for tournies? Say from 18 players and down ...

He'd reraise allin with AK/AQ/AJs/88/99/TT/JJ and flat QQ/KK/AA imo. I think you rejammed and he had a monster, amirite?
