Leaving aside the rest this ordering is really unlikely to be correct.

If shoving is better than folding how can folding be better than calling?

There are specific times when this is the case and I really don't see how this can be one of them.

Re: bigger $109 scratching my head with TT

Think the folding has greater EV than calling because:

1. There are many turn cards that could likely give villain better hand. Essentially anything but 10 is bad for us in some way.

2. If we're calling with intentions OTHER than calling a future bet regardless of what hits, then calling gives him a chance to bet into us again and force a fold with worse cards (basically outplay us by being aggro, which in this case seems a little likely).

I know it's unorthodox to have ordering such as this, but for the reasons above and some others, I stand by it. I really hate calling here.

How comes you bumped it? I'm iterested.

In retrospect I think I should have called here, I definitely think he can 86s in his range though.

Re: bigger $109 scratching my head with TT

To those who advocate for a fold, I have question:

Do you think he will raise this big with sets on this board, and if so, why? Would any of you play it the same way?

I and my MTT friend talked about this hand for quite a while, and we seem to have a somewhat different take on this. I will post our thoughts later.

Thanks in advance!

his big c/r is good with 2p+ since our range to continue is overpairs regardless of his sizing. and if he can get a few hundred bucks in before scare card hit its a good thing for him.
furtheremore OP said he recently lost a big pot with a set so he might get looked up lighter.
its close between call/call and just fold to the huge sizing.
i'd fold w/o more reads since he is likely to continue barreling and i dont feel like putting most of the stack in early with a bluffcatcher.

and we should not 2x from this position preflop with these stacks . not sure if this was mentinoed before.

You might as well post these thoughts because the thread was discussed in depth a while ago.

Yea if hes competent and he knows you are too its a decent spot to c/r and try to get you to put down the overpur or whatever you have. Couple that with 'might be tilted' read and guess you have him beat a high enough % of the time. Prob call.

What's our plan for continuing on the turn if he bombs the Ac or 2s?

Foldaments.. BB is never light here at this stage.
If you can't make anything out of his big raise, I fold rather happily..
