$200 Freezeout, 71 Entries - 15 left. Top 7 pay, but it's top heavy as 7th gets their money back and 1st gets 4k. Onto the hand:

Blinds 1500/3k with 200 ante. I am effective stack with 74k. Folds to V UTG+2 who limps, folds to me in SB with AhKc. I make it 10k, BB folds and V 3 bets to 28k.

I have almost no history with V, as we've just assembled the table. He's open limped once, maybe twice in that time.

Hero?

Not folding for < 25bb here. Would play preflop different, and prob just effectively put villain in instead of 3.33bb

As played are you calling or 4-bet shoving?

To your point about playing preflop - V has me covered and I felt like my stack was too deep to just shove into a single limper. Had he opened with a raise, I'm gii

His limp/3b/call range, obv differs from his initial limp/call range. In terms of cEV, I don't think either option differs all that much as played.

Meh, thats fine. At these stack sizes you are not getting away from it unless you have access to villains hole cards.

This is read dependent in a live tournament, not an obvious gii. The limp/3b for 37% of effective stacks looks strong.

Definitely felt strong and I didn't snap shove by any means. I didn't really have much of a read, aside from an open limp or two on his part, given we'd only played a couple orbits.

He had the stack to make this play with a wider range, and from his POV it's possible I could just be applying pressure against his open limp. Plus I block AA or KK. That's what I told myself before I shipped it in anyway...

What do you mean by this? AA/KK blocks you if you have AKo and not the other way around, right? Or am I riding my bike onto very thin ice?

Both are correct. In this scenario I block half his AA/KK combos.

This is surely not read dependent even live for 25bbs. Never iso/folding AK when he can limp jam JJ/QQ. Also never flatting his 3 bet, I think that would be terrible because the pot would be huge in comparison to stack sizes and we can't fold missed flop anyway. Just jam pre.
