AK on the blinds

So last 2 final tables ive got on i got this particular situation.I get AK on th blinds and late position raise 2 blinds and 2.5 blinds i have around 10k chips and the blinds are 600 so the pot is about 20-25% of my stack i figure i should shove so i can get a free pot and in the worst case(i think)ill flip or have a good situation to gamble...but to my horror my opponent flips AA and im gonne with a bad cashout or bubble. Would you guys reconsider the approach or i should stick to this and not worry about the badluck thats just been trough.thx

Re: AK on the blinds

in my opinion it is a standard shove when you have reached the money. But if you are on the bubble, it also depends on the cash to the first payed place in combination with the other stacks around the table (and how important a cash is to you compared with the possibility to go deeper)..
Besides from that pretty standard-shove...

FYP. Profit in mtts does not come from min cashing. It is imperative to build your stack in particularly soft spots of an mtt. The biggest soft spot is the money bubble. Players tighten up too much, and this can be exploited by raising/shoving a much wider range than usual. You don't even have to widen any reasonable shove range to jam AK. Fist pump jam. **** mincashing!

i donīt disagree with you ticketmaster as I mentioned above = sdt. shove..
But some people donīt "calculate" on going deep - in which a cash still can be satifying.. I am not saying it is the right thing to do if you want to go deep, so therefore as I also mention ( how important a cash is to you compared with the possibility to go deeper)..

And then I read the post again and especially the part: and im gonne with a bad cashout or bubble. - so obv. not what hero is interestet in here..

to sum up : my bad - just shove..

Word, no bad. It's just important to know that playing for mincash just isn't a profitable strategy in the long run. We would be doing OP a disservice if we didn't point this out.

Also, to the OP: don't post your results. In this thread you still got good advice since this is a pretty standard spot. But if you'd like to learn from this forum, I recommend posting hand histories up to the point where you had difficulty with a decision, opponents range, etc.; instead of posting the entire results of the hand.
