Calling. Can discount top of range quite heavily w/ no 3b pre. 99 AQ seem close to me.

Usually with reshove stacks behind. Can't 100% discount I agree but sample size/buyin is low enough that I'm not folding.

another point to consider is, if you think they're flatting QQ+ the first time, why are you discounting 99-JJ/AQ/AK? Further, why would they be flatting 99-JJ/AQ+ vs our 3b and only jamming QQ-AA? Randoms gon random but this doesn't make enough sense to me to fold this.

The softer the event the more willing you should be to give up on marginal spots.
His jam doesnt look weak to me given its random jamming 70bigs effective.
He might be postfop scared and be jamming QQ+/AK to avoid postflp spots.
99, AQ seems easy folds.
I think I would folds JJ and call qq, ak.

If you xheck DB the reason why JJ perform severely worse than QQ is exactly bc we overplay what seems a great hand in such spots.

Edit - misread hh. Btn NY backraises, yes I call.
But some points are still valid

Been seeing a lot of people play the big pairs slower lately, trapping. I've started folding in a lot of these types of positions, especially if I have a stack and the play is poor. It's one of those positions that seems like you're at best flipping for a massive amount of chips relative to the blinds so I just fold and pick better spots.
