I believe his range would be 99+ due to his re-raise pre, could be up against a flush draw too and I believe a folds correct. Unless he us a maniac or he had done something similar and shown a bluff previously.
Wait for a better spot imo.

yeah if you have the image and dynamic for it, then this.

I perfer flatting, mainly because it's my style and I'm just going to outplay people in position. Also I think this way we let all worse aces continue whereas he will never stack/call it off with AT or worse imo.

Which raise do u prefer flatting? The initial raise or 4b?

Yeah guessing he means flatting the initial raise, was gonna add that to my post: either 3b with the intention to shove over a 4b or flat initially. Agree with gregz that at this stack depth flatting is slightly better.

yeah mean the initial raise.

I'd agree 3b to 5bshove is better than flatting the 4bet

Re: 888 Poker - Tornado 100$+9$ -call in Blindbattle

I find it a little difficult to comment on this spot without reads. How does our opponent play post flop? How does he react to 3bets? How often does he steal? Is he positionally aware?

But if i found myself in this situation at the first hand of a table I think i 3b smaller and fold to 4b, however im unsure of the EV of this play so im going to work it out now.

i dont like the 5betshove, I mean we would turn a strong hand in the Blindbattle in a bluff and then since he will only continue with stronger hands. But i guess as played i have to call off his shove becasue i have 20-30% aginst his PPs, catch his bluffs and gain respect on the table. Pretty tough to call there though

Without info i would flat IR, pre.

Flat IR > 3bet (~1300)/5bet/c > 3bet/5bet shove > 3bet/call 4bet.

as played: without info, fold.

Re: 888 Poker - Tornado 100$+9$ -call in Blindbattle

I assingned a range with every PP, one combination of KQ(he will check behind there mostly) AKo,AKs and a small number of bluffs. I still get 43% while needing 35%. Notice that this is the worst case szenario. So i guess i have to call there every time.

Re: 888 Poker - Tornado 100$+9$ -call in Blindbattle

you think this will be mostly a Q he has? notice that the fact that there are two Q on the board already takes out half of the combinations with a Q he can have out.Point im making is it will be really hard to give him a rage with which we will get less than 1/3.

No he doesnt have a Q, i put him on AK/AJ/pp or (semi)bluff. Without stats i will give him respect in this spot.

Thats exactly the range i put him on, the thing is that we will be i okay shape against this hands and he is all in. Its a coinflip/bluffcatch with lots of dead money. Its only really hard to make the call there for two buyins.
