Re: 55$, line check with AA
there is no reason to 2x pre
vs someone decent (or the old passive nitguy)i'd just flat flop and fold turn, a random's b3b b b range is mostly > 1p so fold river as played in a vacuum

Re: 55$, line check with AA
Agree with furo...pre really should be bigger...
Why raise the flop lead? There are just not that many draws and we are behind his bet 3 bet range...just flat and flat a lot of turns and decide more based on cards/ sizings.
With the super dry board his hands are weighted toward value and without any reads his line suggests 2 pair+

Re: 55$, line check with AA
I like raising a polarized range OTF. We're on the button so it we'll look bluffy anyway.
I want to play for stacks on the flop basically.

That seems absurdly optimistic vs an unknown, 85BB deep.

Re: 55$, line check with AA
Think you played this hand really bad tbh. Don't like the raise on the flop considering he could have lots of hands that beat you given your pre-flop sizing.
But after how the flop played out you really have to be folding the turn to a bet out here.

Re: 55$, line check with AA
I think it's played perfectly (other than pre, I make it 150 but that is pretty whatever). I might fold to bigger sizing on the turn/river but never to this. Not raising the flop seems insane to me, it's a $55 tourney against a random, not raising is missing huge value.

b/3b is a strong line, I agree, however don't you think that his range changes a lot when he bets so small on the turn?

but we has AA on 9 7 2 rainbow vs a random who decided to donk lead into us! If he has 2 pair or a set he can have my chips.

Re: 55$, line check with AA
We do great vs his b/c range, probably decent vs his b/3b range, but I'm really curious for a b/3b/get-it-in-vs-our-4bet range we do well against. We even block A9

Re: 55$, line check with AA
I go back and forth on raising the flop lead. It's obv not bad, but against a lot of random donks I would expect their lead range to be too weak to raise. i.e. a ton of players will c/r if they have top pair+ in a spot like this but will lead mid or bottom pair (as well as a variety of bluffs, though they prob still c/r draws on a board like this given it's btn vs. bb).
Yeah, I like flatting the flop a little better.
Obv getting it in on the flop is absurd unless villain is a gigantic fish.
As played it's fine I guess. I feel like we should be folding somewhere but I can't really find a spot to do it.

Lol at folding anywhere you passive tards. Agree with greg. At least call down especially vs the small sizing.

Furo destroyed it in first attempt.
What raise/4b/xb-shove otf, Gregz? Dry enough board.
And what 120 pre, someone would spazz a lot pre ante?
