OK, its still fairly early like level 5 or so. I would probably be perceived as aggressive but not insane.

Blinds: 100/200 50 ante Effective stacks 13K

Middle position opens for 600. 60 yr old white guy reg. Seems competent, relatively unknown.

Laggy, fairly aggressive reg call's 600.

I'm on the button with A3 of hearts. I raise it to 3K, with 10K behind. They both call.

Flop is 10 5 4 Pot is ~10K

They both check, I shove for about 10K. Initial raiser mucks, laggy guy calls with nut flush draw and hits an over card.

Thoughts on play? Just way too aggressive? Bet half pot instead?

Thanks!

Not sure if this is a troll.

What was your reasoning for 3betting this hand? You are super deep, its early, you dont win a big pot when they fold, and when they call you are not in great shape and have to play a bloated pot with what will often be dominated when you hit.

On the flop, what again is your reasoning for just jamming? What are you hoping to achieve? What better hands did you think you could get to fold, what worse hands are calling you?

Ha, no its not a troll just a stupid play on my part. The guy that opened I was pretty sure I could get off the hand, the other player only called so I thought it was a decent squeeze play and I know if he has a premium hand he raises most of the time. If LAG doesn't flop nut flush draw I think it gets through no problem. I should have continued to be patient given stacks but spazzed out for some reason.

Sorry, I didnt mean the troll bit to come across as it did.

Although I can understand your reasoning in hand - and I've spazzed infinite amounts of hands - it sound's like you kind of leveled yourself into fancy playing.

In terms of squeezing, there are definitely better spots which will come later on in the tourney. This early in a low buy-in tournament, and when everyone is so deep, sticking to a straight forward pre-flop strategy is a pretty sound plan.

All good, I know its a horrible play and funny enough its a Useless bluff! Your exactly right in that I fall in love with some exotic play that just blows up.

Flat preflop is way better this early against $50 live players (you have absolute position, you're deeptstack, and they won't fold that much to a 3 bet).
Yeah flop is a spew.

I like a flat much better preflop or even a fold. Don't mind the jam too much

Don't 3bet 60yo people with this hand. If you choose to do so make it 1900ish.

Bet 30% pot otf.
