At final table of a big tourney in local casino, stacks fairly even, and this hand goes down. My villain has been very aggressive in the past and is very capable of 4betting light. Villain is on button and has 420k starting hand, i have 750k starting hand.

Hero dealt Qd9d
Blinds 5k/10k

Villain opens to 20k,
Hero 3bets to 54k,
Villain repops it to 120k,
I call.

Flop As8d8c (Pot 260k)
Check,
Villain bets 70k,
I call,

Turn 7h (Pot 400k)
Check,
Check

River Js (Pot 400k)
I bet 210k,
Villain agonizes and folds.

It was close between flatting and 5bet jamming vs this specific opponent. Against this specific opponent, I think he will have a hard time making herocalls when the board runs out badly for him so I said I'd flat, abuse my oop postflop advantage.

He checks back most AA on the flop, as well as AK every so often, just leaving him with JJ-KK, which i think i can take him off on a later street. Plus I have a backdoor flush draw, a backdoor straight draw, two pair draws and two backdoor full house draws. (actually four backdoor fh draws, but im not jumping for joy if the board runs out Q8 or 98)

Sucks if he jams a diamond turn.
I have reversal blockers to QQ which sucks.

Gotta go eat my lasagna, looking forward to responses.
