In the money, ~75 or so left. Payjumps aren't a major concern yet.

B: 60K/120K
S: 3.7MM
P: SB
H: QcQs

Short stacked Asian gal who hadn't been playing many hands shoves UTG+1 all-in for 800K.

Older guy in UTG+2 (new to the table) goes over the top for 2.5MM.

Action folds to me.

Is this a clear call? Felt like he could have TT or AQs here and if so I had to call, even three ways.

Never folding unless UTG+2 is a mega NIT

Yeap unless you have history is an easy call.
Seems like a results oriented question but maybe i am wrong of course.

I felt at the time it was a pretty clear call, even against a (possibly) tight older guy, just because of the price and the fact he could have worse hands. Really just confirming more than anything. I did have a pretty good live read that he was strong, but even then I don't think I can fold QQ, or even JJ for that matter.

Outcome of the hand? Not that it matters just for the record

Villain had KK, flopped a set and crippled me. My live read that he was strong was based on the only other hand he'd shown down was KK and was giving off that same vibe.

Yes it's stupid huge 3bet and Ive got ur behind JJ/AK.
Guess this tourney has quite fast structure and Idk how this field looks like.
You also say nothing what's his stack and other stacks behind him.

I think I often gii in such spots w/o much thought, but then again not many old nit guys play online ))

It's a turbo tournament so it's not like there were any super deep stacks, maybe a couple of 40BB stacks at most.

Table was pretty tough for a $365 as there were two name pros and another guy I didn't recognize but found out later had over $500K in live tournament earnings. Against pretty much the rest of the table I'm snapping this off without a second thought for 20BB, it was just my read on the guy that made me think.

For me it's a fold. If it was only the UTG+1, it's a snap call. Since there was a 3 bet before the action got to you says strength. AA/KK/(puts you at 33%) And if UTG+1 has say 99/TT/JJ, and villian has AK, it's a coin toss. You could fold and still have 30bb and wait for a better spot against smaller stacks.

I think it's a tough one, OP. Nobody would ever criticize you for playing for stacks with QQ's. There's no shame in folding them either if your read is strong. But one of my biggest regrets in poker involved folding QQ preflop under pressure, so what do I know.

Definitely a tough spot.

I think the only way you can reasonably let this go though is with a huge hero read. Given the nature of your standing, you need chips and it doesn't get much better than this spot.

Most players here are probably repping AJ+/TT+ out of V2, and V1 is probably ranging at pairs/Ax. Your equity against that range is just too high to fold without a huge read.

You said you had some read, but unless you were really sure, I think the play is the right one.

Has UTG+2 gone all in? Either way, I'm definitely stacking here.
