he seems committed but could he do this with high diamonds / 99-jj??

spot sucks...I imagine I shove now with these stacks and the fact that he can have so many draws in his c/r range on that board...couple it with the few worse value hands and I can't imagine not going to the mat here

ty all,
yeah, of course we got it in but his minraise leaving him with less than half his stack just reeked of strength and i didn't feel i was up against a draw at the time

This is a terrible spot, b/c your opponent can have a variety of hand ranges given your choice to only minraise preflop. You have to either shove it here, or fold it. Either way, your opponent is drawing super live.

I'd recommend opening a slightly bigger amount in this situation to narrow hand ranges just a bit, even though you mentioned that villain is a loose player. Shoot for something like 2.3-2.6 times the big blind, so in this scenario, open for 46,000 to 52,000 to narrow the hand ranges of your opponent.

TK12--I think we need to assume that OP's standard open is a minraise which is obv fine.

I like flop sizing, esp for these stakes.

20bb, AA, shove flop.

Tend to disagree. If we make it 70k and he flats, we don't have much room except to overjam turn. If we make it 45k otf, pot will be 202k on the turn, then we can bet 80k, and then shove river for like 250k into 360k.

edit: making it small otf also gives him a better chance to raise us with air since it won't commit him so much.

cmon, it is 11$ tournament vs an open limper. even vs a regular you can bet this flop very big and jam turn.

I dont think you want to go to river at this texture, 20bb.
