$250 NLHE MTT. We're one off the bubble (45 cash of 386). I have 220K. My table has 3 good players and I've been cruising by late position play and taking down pots pre as most at the table have tightened up at the bubble and there are a bunch of shortish stacks. The villain to my direct left has been mumbling quite a bit under his breath as I have been raising a lot when folded around to me when he's in the blinds or I’m in the SB and he’s in the BB. He hasn’t flatted my raise or 3bet me in the last hour or so. He has 130K. The usual, I'm gonna get you when I have a hand, don't you ever just call comments. He's playing very tight. I've played with this player many times. He's an okay TAG player but definitely willing to make a move without a hand if he thinks it's a good play.

My question has more to do with ICM than how the hand played out.

The hand:
4k/8k/500 ante

Hero: SB, Ad Jh, 220K
Villain: BB, 130K

Folds around to Hero in SB - raises to 18K, villain quickly flats.

Flop: Js 9h 3c (pot: 40,500)
My initial thought was to check it back as I thought he might bet with just about anything, but with the straight draw possibilities and possible overs hitting if checked back, along with the thought that he might take this opportunity to spazz if I bet, I bet.

Hero: bet 25K (I bet big to further the thought that I was bullying him).
Villain: shoves almost instantly.
Hero: Calls

After the hand I started thinking about ICM implications. Am I right to call here without much thought? I'm 2 off the bubble and would have 90K if I lose the hand. My table is great. I was second in chips at the table before the start of this hand. Is this a spot where I should fist pump call and hope to build a big stack or should I consider betting like 18k and giving myself more room to fold to a shove, raise or call and a bad turn card hits the turn? With the villain, even with ICM, if anyone thinks that ICM is any kind of factor here, my hand seems just too strong to fold with this villain (any may other villains for that matter). I do think this villain is capable of flatting here to trap me with AA and KK although mostly I thought draw, 9X, or some kind of pair. If we had our hands face up and he had Q 10, does that make any difference about calling this shove at this time in the tournament?

Thanks for looking.

shove pre, call now

EDIT to add: It would at least be interesting if we were covered. As is, we can still pretty easily make the money if we have over 10BB left and 45 of 46 are getting paid.

I would shove pre or raise bigger, at least 3x.
Betting smaller flop and snapping as fast as i can after he jams. Considering folding is ridiculous and very results orientated.
