Just plug the hand into a nash calculator. What I have shows an even wider range than 89s to be unexploitable. But if you do find a range then lmk.

Re: $22r, 98s, awkward steal spot

I think it may be a part of an unexploitable range but it's not an unexploitable hand to jam

I think you can flip it face up and jam it and it still would be +cEV. Anyway, if you do find that range then we can talk numbers

Re: $22r, 98s, awkward steal spot

Every hand in a Nash range is as such. you can flip it over and shove it profitably. That's the definition of exploitability. funny isn't it

Re: $22r, 98s, awkward steal spot

you are talking about sklanksy-chubokuv
when u flip over your hand he calls 67,4% because he can call hands like t2o etc.

nash is only working because you have hands in your shovingrange so that he cant call t2o and such
the shove is not unexploitable but part of an unexploitable range

i would prolly shove

yes you're right about nash vs chubokuv. But 89s is a +cEV shove face up.

giving villain the following perfect calling range (63.4% after taking out the 9s and 8s combos which I think you forgot to do) we have 42.7% equity.

(equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 57.272% 56.09% 01.19% 807680868 17067389.00 { TT+, 9c9d, 9c9h, 9d9h, 8c8d, 8c8h, 8d8h, 77-22, ATs+, Ac9c, Ad9d, Ah9h, Ac8c, Ad8d, Ah8h, A7s-A2s, KTs+, Kc9c, Kd9d, Kh9h, Kc8c, Kd8d, Kh8h, K7s-K2s, QTs+, Qc9c, Qd9d, Qh9h, Qc8c, Qd8d, Qh8h, Q7s-Q2s, JTs, Jc9c, Jd9d, Jh9h, Jc8c, Jd8d, Jh8h, J7s-J2s, Tc9c, Td9d, Th9h, Tc8c, Td8d, Th8h, T7s-T2s, 9c8c, 9d8d, 9h8h, ATo+, Ac9d, Ac9h, Ad9c, Ad9h, Ah9c, Ah9d, As9c, As9d, As9h, Ac8d, Ac8h, Ad8c, Ad8h, Ah8c, Ah8d, As8c, As8d, As8h, A7o-A2o, KTo+, Kc9d, Kc9h, Kd9c, Kd9h, Kh9c, Kh9d, Ks9c, Ks9d, Ks9h, Kc8d, Kc8h, Kd8c, Kd8h, Kh8c, Kh8d, Ks8c, Ks8d, Ks8h, K7o-K2o, QTo+, Qc9d, Qc9h, Qd9c, Qd9h, Qh9c, Qh9d, Qs9c, Qs9d, Qs9h, Qc8d, Qc8h, Qd8c, Qd8h, Qh8c, Qh8d, Qs8c, Qs8d, Qs8h, Q7o-Q2o, JTo, Jc9d, Jc9h, Jd9c, Jd9h, Jh9c, Jh9d, Js9c, Js9d, Js9h, Jc8d, Jc8h, Jd8c, Jd8h, Jh8c, Jh8d, Js8c, Js8d, Js8h, J7o-J2o, Tc9d, Tc9h, Td9c, Td9h, Th9c, Th9d, Ts9c, Ts9d, Ts9h, Tc8d, Tc8h, Td8c, Td8h, Th8c, Th8d, Ts8c, Ts8d, Ts8h, T7o-T2o, 9c8d, 9c8h, 9d8c, 9d8h, 9h8c, 9h8d }
Hand 1: 42.728% 41.54% 01.19% 598232018 17067389.00 { 9s8s }

according to my calculations if vaillain calls this range the shove comes out to about +3 chips in EV which is +0.012BB. in other words the worst case scenario is breakeven, making it unexploitable.

EV= (0.634 * 0.427 * 10118) + (0.366*5309) = 4687 which is > 4684

ps. it's a little more than +3cEV because I did it before substracting blinds from the stacks. after posting effective stacks are 4434 not 4684.

You`re too fond of it. Your math is wrong. I think it`s there (bolded).
Jam vs that range is -60chips or just br-even.

I agree with Dereds.

Few mates have considered limp/x.
What others do think about it?

Bolding it does not make it wrong. Care it explain why is it wrong?
I did mention I forgot to substract the blinds but that makes it more +cev in reality .
