How can you be better when you don't even know that if he has a set, he has our hand beat in this instance?

we picked up some equity when we turned a double gutter. I'd be more inclined to bet a total brick

Re: 22dol 6 max. rivered straight vs trips/boat.

why would you prefere a bet with little equity to a bet with decent equity.
atm we have no showdown value and get better hands to fold (when we bet 3 streets we def can)

This makes no sense?

A card that doesn't increase our fold equity or improve our hand's equity is a better card to bet than a card that does both?

Re: 22dol 6 max. rivered straight vs trips/boat.

Maybe I am mis thinking this but it is the same idea as when we bet fold a hand that has no redraw but c/c a hand with a redraw.

I mean if we get c/r with 100% air we can easily fold but it sucks when we have a semi hidden back door draw which could get huge value from his potential c/r range

Bet turn, you gained equity, if he raised turn then still raised your c/r on riv you would know your beat. Bet draws on paired boards. Sometimes you will get raised off your draw but come to find out it was a good thing because you were drawing dead. Implied odds go down your semi bluff ratio should go up

I think we can stand a c/r on the turn though can't we?

We can easily fold if we get c/r with this hand too, it's not like this hand has a ton of equity vs any made hand. I see what you are saying about the implied value, but generally betting and taking a pot down with 8 high is gonna be better IMO.

As for the river, I think shoving is fairly bad and folding is completely retarded.
