Busted two recent tourneys overplaying AA early so have that on my mind.

15k effective starting. 50/100. 5 limpers, I make it 850 from SB with KK. 2nd limper (in MP) calls. Flop 789 2 diamonds. I check, V bets 1200, i raise to 2600, V shoves. Before I act (30-45 seconds) V asks if its a reentry (It's not). V is 50's asian male, bluffy software exec type.

What's your play here, and thoughts on C/R line?

I don't like it - what was your reasoning for the flop c/r? I'm definitely folding now that he has shoved as you're only slightly ahead at best. What's your plan if he flats instead? You're oop with a bloated pot and there are a ton of bad turn cards for you, and if V is the bluffy/spewy type you're just gonna get yourself into awkward spots too often.

With the Kd in our hand I'm likely check/calling flop and re-evaluating the turn but I could be wrong, so I'd wait for a more credible player to chip in 0 Live: KK on wet flop

I'm inclined to just call here and re-evaluate on the turn. As played I prob sigh fold, still plenty of big blinds left, tho live bad players can have a widest range here.

OP you start by stating you busted in the past by overplaying aces yet you're going for a check/raise line. That deep you need to keep in line with overpairs: sure you can get a lot of value but once the action gets crazy you're in trouble very often!
So value bet or check call are fine, but check/raise is not the best.
As played I fold now, unfortunately losing value against the big draws (which a call or bet would have allowed me to ponder on later streets)

You've shown mighty interest in the hand before the flop and then check raised a really wet board against a bet and the villian still shoved over you, for your kings to be good shape here is a stretch and a half. I guess you have to fold now but by playing it the way you did you basically allowed villian to push you off the hand, which may be a good thing but they're a ton of semi bluffs and pair and flush and straight draw hands that he may have gotten you to fold the best hand at the time.

i think the key problem here is that you go for a check raise instead of a normal cb.
when you check raise, your hand is basically a bluf. you hoping that he has hand like AT or 66 and just calls. so you can hope for a 2 ott.
i am not a fan of a check call either. I think when you, after raising pre flop to 8,bb, check call you are exactly telling him that you have an overpair and want to potcontrol.
so i would just take the normal line and cb otf. especially live tournaments, people most of the time play very honestly.
just cb flop and take it from there, imo

think this is an interesting comparison to the AA w/ 20BB hand in the other thread.

here I'd c/c for sure and play this hand very snug. it's as simple as you having a medium strength hand deep stacked and you're looking for some moderate value. there's just no need to gii.

Been in this spot quite a few times, first try with the check/raise. V just seemed super likely to raise a cbet, and put me to a decision to continue or not. I thought I'd mix it up and put the tough decision back on him with the check raise. Appreciate the comments.
