1-2 -- $530 entries
3-4 -- $215

Not long ago since we`re 4 handed.

SB -- Hidden on OPR. 20/15/4 in 140 hands.
Feels like small stakes reg.
Haven`t restealed from blinds once, but tends to call shoves with a wide range.

BB -- Newbie on PS. Pretty bad/splashy. 29/18/4 in 130 hands.
Restealing 12% [2/17].
Was active as a huge stack.
Called shoves ridiculously wide.
Called 12bb shove w Q7s BB-MP on the bubble 6handed [being a big stack].

I was active, but haven`t stolen tons.

PokerStars - $10+$1|800/1600 Ante 150 NL - Holdem - 4 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

Hero (BTN): 30,288.00
SB: 22,224.00
BB: 160,200.00
UTG: 60,788.00

Hero posts ante 150.00, SB posts ante 150.00, BB posts ante 150.00, UTG posts ante 150.00, SB posts SB 800.00, BB posts BB 1,600.00

Pre Flop: (3000.00) Hero has Q K

fold,

I don`t like R/F very much, but it seems safe with them being mostly passive pre-flop [in 3betting department] and me being really comfortable post-flop.

Shoving seems ok to put pressure on SB or called by smth ridiculous/dominated from BB.
And there`s no payjump between 4th and 3rd.

4th player is also not great, so guess I could try to find good spots later.

Seems shoving is optimal from description to me...

The depiction of villains gives even more reason for this being a pure shove spot. Pretty much a cooler if called and less than flipping

r/c, you slready locked in a 215 seat and need chips to come in the first 2.
You can raise call to both, but the most lokely cenario is tht sb folds and bb calls with a hell wide range which you dominate and can pawn postflop with a very pretty hand.

with the fish in the bb opr seems to be the right play here altough we probably have to fold against him
r/c against the sb is good

if the bb does reshove much im simply openshoving whick is pretty much unexploitable +ev

well people are advocating all options itt.
I think limping is actually interesting and it hasnt crossed my mind in game

I dont think bb would make my life difficult preflop, but sb can jam some rubbish which Id prefer to fold out with open shove.
So Zanardi Im not sure r/c > shoving or limping.

who cares???... actually you have to take all the marginals

limp call the sb
limp call/shove the bb
play postflop if the sb completes vs a dominated range,ip with a hands which plays pretty well postflop

imo limp/x>>>r/c>>shove

not sure I got it.
Why should I take all marginals in field of randoms?
but I like your idea about limping anyway.

because you are 3/4 with 19 bb
so you have to gamble a little bit

Why is limping better than raising if you pretend to call anyway??
If you limp you cant win the pot preflop either, which will happen often if you raise. Also by limping you are encouraging sb to come along reducing your equity and will be more difficult to win the pot post when you miss. If you raise and bb call, you win a lot just c-betting most flops.

Looks like a jam to me. If bb calls about 10-15% we bust like 6-8% of the time. We get hands both would jam to fold and we win chips with it w/o much risk. SB cant call wider than 5%.
Idn about limping... Why would you limp a value hand in this spot... FPS syndrom.

i want to play this hand postflop vs these kind of player
i think you can get more value post than pre
your range will be perceived pretty wide so you ll get value from worse a lot
obv there some contraindications like you said ...imo there more pros than cons

point of the thread - I want to get more than shoving can give me.
obv we all are aware shoving is +ev.

Its possible that its impossible to get more at this spot in particular for me.
