Interested in thoughts on "correct" way to play this hand on the unofficial FT bubble in a WSOP $1,500 event earlier this summer.

Players remaining - 11 (playing at 5-handed table);
Blinds - Level 24, 12k/24k/4k;
Stack: ~570k (about 6 of the remaining 11 players have around 400k-650k);
Next pay jump is 9th place.

Dealt QQ UTG and raise to 60k;
Button (stack = 1.5M) raises to 178k and blinds fold;

Do I: (a) shove; or (b) call and see a flop (assuming not, but... or (c) fold)?

Would appreciate any thoughts/explanation that people have on the above. Need any more information?

Really?

You REALLY want to know if you should stack off with 25bb with QQ heads up on what is likely a 6-handed table? That's REALLY what you want to know?

Or do you want to complain about getting coolered vs AA?

-_-

He didn't have AA. I'm mostly curious about whether or not it makes sense to call and see a flop, given that over half of the remaining field has similar stack sizes and the money jumps get more serious at this stage. The size of his raise makes it extremely unlikely he's ever folding, so wondering if shoving knowing that is correct.

depends on if you're playing to try to get 1st, or if you need that pay jump to pay bills and debt...

OK if this is a serious question - no, you're never flatting here. Fist-bump jam. He could easily be 3betting with 99-JJ/AQ and you're way ahead. Get your chips in there now.

What was your plan when you opened? Did you think I am going to x or y if i get 3-bet or shoved on by player a or do x if player b does y? This is an important thing to do when you have a shorter stack.

How important is the pay jump to you? How much is the pay jump? How much does it mean to make a WSOP FT?

If you get it in and win you have 47BB and a chance to go really deep.

If you flat and then fold when the board is not ideal you have 16BB, not disastrous but not great. If that is your mindset then the only good board for you is Q high and that is not going to happen often enough.

With 23BB I am shoving here and happily so.

R/F is terrible, if you are going to do that just fold pre.

R/C the 3-bet - what do you do if the flop come with an A or K? What do you do if the flop is all under cards - you will still not really know where you are. I assume you would check in flow and then what do you do when they c-bet?

The best option here is shove imo.

Thanks for the responses. I was planning on getting it in if raised but to be honest, this was the first deep run I've had in this buy in a WSOP tournament. I ended up getting it in but am just trying to think things through after the fact and understand whether I played it right or if I should be thinking of more when at this stage of a tournament.

The pay jump was like 6-7k and I don't need it for bills, etc. Poker is more of a serious hobby. Making the FT would have been exciting, but in the end I am trying to win...understanding you can't win if not at the FT.

If I just called, I probably fold to a bet on a K or A high board. I agree that is not ideal and calling has me playing the pot out of position.

What is your goal ?
to Win the tourney or to move up in the pay off.

before you bet the $60k what was your plan

Pot has $56k in it already
I think your 2.5x bet utg was light.
I would bet 80-85k and hope to get it all in preflop.

Honestly if you'd raised to 55k I'd advocate jamming your entire opening range here. As it is I think he's less likely to be light but also he'd likely raise smaller with AA. If you think this sizing is AK only then flat, if not then jam. You really don't want him to have KTs and hit a K or get bluffed off your hand on an A high board.
