I don't think your J really does anything for you here. You're trying to rep a cbet on the flop with J9 that spiked the turn? Or are you just reducing his straight combos and ignoring his 2p combos?

BB looks to be a bit on the tighter side so it's possible that V is overdefending his SB, which means he has all kinds of 2p hands in his range (Q8s/Q5s/85s/T8s/T5s/. I think it's time to give up.

i don"t think he call sb that wide and even though if he catch 2p otf he would fast play it most of the time. i block J so i can rep this J9 but also all 2p and sets which he would x/r otf or ott

so i like 3 barrels here but more i like just to xback otf to reduce variance in such an easy tourney like this

spoiler: i didn"t believie my intuicion and xback otr he showed AsTh

Agree with Nomalice, We actually have a little SDV with ace high so this is a great spot to check back and possibly look for some delay bets on good turns, definately any broadway as we can pick up some gutshots if we dont make a pair.

Also why the 3x pre, you havn't played since 2005? Know that you would have to make some adjustments to your postflop play as SB range or any flatting range really is going to be that little but stronger when you use this sizing. Just go 2x - 2.5x pre and follow it up with a small 'range bet' 25 - 40% otf.

As played if hes calling the turn hes likely calling the river now, that 3 is a big fat brick, changes nothing, I would just give it up

Agree with nomalice and wowsooooted.

Though given the situation OTR, you can shove river once in a while. Its a big risk but works a decent amount of the time to make it profitable, especially with flop and turn action. You have every possible hands in your range and his is actually capped in this situation. Most of the time its a Q hand (JQ, QK Q9) that will fold, a few times you'll find a two pair that can fold too. But must know that villain is not one of those who can call a one pair hand in this spot.

Pre sizing is fine at these effective stacks. Don't mind the flop bet at all, especially if we're betting most if not all of our range here. If we bet flop though, I'd much rather check turn because we have better candidates in our range with equity to double barrel and it makes river decisions easier.

As played unless you think villain is going to fold Qx a fairly large percentage of the time I'd really like to see us give up river.
