Hi guys,

Close to end of day 1 of Goliath on Sunday evening. Have been thinking this one through for a few days to work out what I should have done here.

Hero sat on ~100k.
V1 is tilting after losing a big pot a few hands ago but otherwise a decent player. Sat on ~80k
V2 has joined about 30 mins ago and describes himself as a fish. Already shown 2 bluffs. ~130k.
Blinds are 2k/4k with 400 ante.

V1 is on the button, V2 in the bb.

Folds to me in lp and I make it 11k with QQ. SB, V1 and V2 all call.

Flop of 568 rainbow. Checks to me, I check and V1 fires a bet of 14k. V2 thinks for a minute or so before raising to 30k. SB folds, Hero ??

Help appreciated as always.

I think in this particular spot I would just jam it in here. The pot is ~90k and you have roughly 90k left?

The only thing you are scared of is made sets, however, I think a large part of V2's range is made up of 7x's primarily 57, 67, 77, 78 and also 99. I think 79 would elect to just flat in this situation on a non flush board.

If V1 or V2 ends up with 2p you're not in terrible shape (~27%) and I think a lot of the time your jam will take it down.

Ultimately, I would make this move just to try and chip up before the beginning of Day 2 were, if you fold, you'll be starting with roughly <15BB or if you jam and take it down you'd have roughly 30BB.

I don't think I'm folding here. First raiser is tilting and second raiser is a fish, we've got good equity against everything apart from sets and straights, and their ranges are definitely wider than that.

why did you elect to check? theres def merit to checking some overpairs sometimes but QQ should be a mandatory cbet.

It was just an awkward spot, I think/know I've played the hand wrong. What sizing do we make our cbet here though, 50k pot with something between 85-90k behind? By cbetting aren't we completely pot committed? (Not arguing btw just sounding off)

Best play looking back seems to be to just jam the flop when it's checked to me.

Just bet 20k-25k. A shove will fold out stuff like A6, A5 that a lot of Goliath players will call a normal sized bet with.
