There are tons of games in nyc, it's finding the right one that can be a challenge.

Hey folks. There are quite a few "PM me" posts in this thread, so I'll take a shot and add mine.

I am another poster whose username from a few years back was associated with an older email address, so I've created a new one. I'll be back in the city for a week in early December, and I would like to find a low-ish hold'em game up to 2/5 or so. The games I play in São Paulo have uncapped 5% rake, so 10% capped at $10 sounds pretty good to me!

Thanks for the help.

Going to be in NYC for a month. Staying in the UES. Looking for low stakes NL or PLO home games. 1/2 or 1/3 would be good for a start, maybe 2/5 towards the end of december.

Please PM.

Wait why would we want to play with other 2+2ers? Doesn't that seem counter productive?

No one stated that any particular game would have 10/10 or 9/10 twoplustwo'ers at it. You're simply sharing details here with one person who has an in to a game.

I've been thinking about starting up a game somewhere in the city a few months into this year (probably april-may) but dunno if it'd end up working out. Would starting a game with some but not a ton of contacts end up working out? My plan was to make them have 0 rake for sure, and run 2-3 tables and have at least 1 NL and 1 PLO every day. I've seen a similar set up work but it wasn't here or anywhere near here. I didn't know if the other games would be bothered by a no rake game taking players from them, etc.

Gonna ask about rake before I go, $20+ rake is ridiculous for a 2/5 game even though it plays like a 5/10nl or 10/20nl game.
bit of a warning about this guy, something tells me he's not all there, competely abnoxious in pms

NY Home Poker League

Most games are $40-$75 buy ins (mostly $40-$50 buy ins). No rake ever. Yes no rake ever. You are playing in people's homes. Games are mostly in Brooklyn because of space considerations (whose going to host in a studio apt in Manhattan?) but we are looking for hosts.

Cash games in between tournaments usually .25/.50 blinds and 1-5 spread for stud games (razz, stud 8, & stud).

Great environment and no rake ever! Last week we had a $70 buyin tournament with 26 players. Great bunch of people....we have retirees, working people with families, young guys, old guys and everything in between.

Please email me (Chris) @ ghostwriternyc@yahoo.com if interested or PM me.

definitely check out our website @ www.nyhomepoker.com

Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you soon.
