I personally don't know of any regular Saturday games. I could point you to a game most other nights, but that's the one night of the wing my schedule is generally a blank. And unfortunately, MARTA accessible cuts out most of them I know since they're OTP.

Re: Looking for homegame in Atlanta
Looking for a game preferably within an hour of Carrollton, up to 2/5. Sandy Springs is a little on the far side, but I'd definitely like to check it out, especially since it's mixed.
PM me with details, thanks guys.

Re: Looking for homegame in Atlanta
Just throwing this out there for future:
I plan on taking 2-3 trips to Tampa Hard Rock for 3-4 days at a time this year. Wouldn't mind sharing gas/hotel expenses if someone is down.
Also any games at all .5/1 - 2/5 within dekalb/cobb/some fulton etc is also preferable.

Re: Looking for homegame in Atlanta
I have my monthly .25/.50 mixed game (generally NLHE, PLO8/BigO, Stud 8, and a fourth game depending on requests) on 6/24 this month, starting at 1PM. I'm always open to new players if you want to come out for it. The game mix can vary depending on the number of players.
If you're interested in playing, drop me a PM.

Re: Looking for homegame in Atlanta
I'm looking to do a .25/.5 or .5/1 mixed game this Saturday at 7PM. It'll likely be a rotation of NLHE, PLO8, and Stud 8.
If you'd be interested in coming out for it, feel free to drop me a PM. The game will be in Sandy Springs near 400 and Northridge.

Re: Looking for homegame in Atlanta
Looking for a homegame anywhere within 30-45 minutes of buckhead-- NLH, PLO or mixed games up to 2/5. I'm new to the area and long-time lurker here. Respond or pm with details. It would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Looking for homegame in Atlanta
I live in the Tucker area, only know of one consistent game and that's all the way in Acworth. Looking for more games, NLHE cash games from .25-.50 to 1/2 and tournaments at any buy in. Someone let me know, this city is huge. There's gotta be games!
Only here for one more month before I move up to Kentucky.

Re: Looking for homegame in Atlanta
Attempting to start a NON RAKED (most of the local games have obscene rake...I'm just interested in getting a solid game going regularly) game in the buckhead/Midtown area. Game will be anywhere from 1/1 to 2/5 (depending on what the majority of the interest is.) It will probably start as nlh but could morph to a mixed game (again depending on interest.)
I can promise a safe, upscale environment and will vet all people before attending and expect you to do the same.
About me: Young, professional that recently moved to the area. The majority of the game will be 20 somethings but we are open to any and all.
Please PM for more details.

2+2 will not let me PM you, guessing because you are brand new? You will have to post more, or confirm your account or something?

Re: Looking for homegame in Atlanta
Looking to start a 5-month tournament series with the points winner getting buy-in to the Cherokee WSOP-C Circuit Event. See below for the relevant details and let me know if you're interested:
If you're not local to Atlanta (or not willing to drive here once a month) and don't play poker, feel free to ignore the below:
So there isn't a lot of interest in a year long WSOP tournament series. Cherokee, however, has a WSOP-C the first part of April. The Main Event will start on April 13th, and it will have a $1675 Buy-in. Therefore, I am suggesting the following:
5-Month series starting in November (November - March). As before, everyone involved will commit to playing all 5 months. The buy-in will be $120, with the following breakdown for the buy-in:
50% to the monthly tournament prize pool ($60/person)
33% to the Grand Prize Fund ($40/person)
17% to the Consolation Tournament Fund ($20/person)
For each monthly tournament, this is a prize pool of $600, paid out on a 50/30/20 split (1st: $300, 2nd: $180, 3rd: $120)
The Consolation Tournament will be for the nine players who win the points championship ($1000 prize pool, paid out as follows: 1st: $500, 2nd: $300, 3rd: $200).
The Tournament Series Winner will receive $2000, $1675 of which is dedicated to playing the WSOP-C Maine Event in Cherokee. This leaves $325 for travel expenses, which should be plenty since you can drive to Cherokee. As stated in the last email, the rest of the tournament will have a 10% stake in the person playing in the ME. So after taxes are paid on the prize (if any), 10% of the money will be paid out to the rest of the group (so if the series winner cashes for $20K and there is $15K left after taxes, the group would receive $1500 or approximately $166 per player).
If there are more than 10 players interested, the prize pool will be adjusted accordingly for each tournament and for the consolation tournament. The overage in the Grand Prize Fund will provide buy-in for the 2nd place points leader to an appropriate tournament (11 would give an additional $200, which would buy-in to one of the nightly turbos up to 20, which would provide buy-in for a 2nd main event seat).
If you have to miss a tournament, you are still required to pay 50% of the entry fee for that month. You may, however, find a replacement for that month to play in the tournament for you. You will not earn any points toward the grand prize for their play, but they will be eligible for the nightly prize pool.
Once we have a set group, I will post more about the tournament structure. At this point, I'm leaning toward a 10K starting stack, 25 minute levels, and blinds starting at 25/50. Points will be awarded based on your finishing place multiplied by 10 (so going out 1st will get you 10 points and going out last will get you 100 points). If the top points earner can't go for some reason, they can shift it to the 2nd place finisher and participate instead in the consolation tournament.
There is no House Vig for this series.
If you're interested, please let me know. Feel free to talk to other people about this as well. The goal is to have the group set by October so we can settle on the best weekend for folks.
