Is there anyone else that know about any home games in the dfw area?

I know of a game at UTDallas in richardson. 5/10c wednesdays 10/20 fridays. If you're interested PM me. I'll only invite you though if you can regularly play for at least 5-6 hours.

It's pretty juicy. There's nice cards, cool people, and you have to give a half hour warning to cash out.

I'm actually looking for some more people for my home game in North Dallas (121 & Tollway area), as I'm trying to make it into a weekly game instead of having 3 weeks+ between games. No rake, no house fee, etc. BYOB...

We generally start with a $20+5 bounty tourney (runs ~3 hrs), and play a .25/.50 NLHE game after that. I'd like to add in a monthly $50 freezeout or rebuy, but I need more regulars willing to buyin for those stakes before I try to set that up.

This is for pre-screening purposes, as I'm not all that big on inviting strangers from the internet to my house!

I'm finally getting back into poker after a 3 year layoff (sometimes life just gets in the way with graduation, job, mergers, relocation, and marriage). The games I knew in Dallas when I first moved here were busted up in 2007 when DPD took an interest in underground poker and that further moved me out of the underground scene. I can't PM just yet so I'm not sure how to go about contacting anybody but I'll stay active in the forums to get my post count up.

Have a trip to Vegas coming up in about 3 months and want to start getting my game back in shape so I can pick on the fishies coming out of the clubs on the weekends. It's amazing how much rust one can accumulate...

Word to the wise: a number of underground card room promoters advertise their DFW games on places like meetup as if they were "home games" when in fact they are rake-charging games in unmarked offices in crumby parts of town.

Maybe you're looking for that - no judgment is implied here - I'm just saying you should know what you're getting into, which will most likely include email and text messaging for as long as you live, before you give these people your personal information.

Ya im looking for games closer to the Ft Worth area... Why drive 45 minutes east when I can drive an hour north to winstar... But I hate winstar

I would have to learn how to play those. I know how to play badugi, 7 card stud, 5 card draw, and hold em. I will have to look them up. Crazy pineapple now that sounds interesting haha.

It's this kind of mindless crap that makes this forum almost unreadable at times, I hate to rant, but I used to be a regular poster until this started, the guy is obviously not going to vegas, and a blind chimpanzee knows vegas has better action than Dallas, if your not gonna answer the guys question then hold your silence.

I Know Of multiple home games in Arlington and fort Worth. Most are raked with dealers. stakes are 1/2, 1/3,2/5 varies upon location... I also have a game at my house 2-3 nights a week. friendly cash game min $80 max $300 or 80% largest chip stack...
